Amazon.com has listed a pre-order for Transformers Prime (Music from the Animated Series). The soundtrack features music from Transformers Prime Season One by Brian Tyler. The soundtrack is priced at $15.92 and scheduled to release on March 20th. Check out the cover and track list below.

I would get excited about this, but the truth is I'm afraid to even try to pre-order it since we still haven't gotten the Dark of the Moon score on CD. Had that pre-ordered and they cancelled it. Had Prime First Editions pre-ordered and they got cancelled... sort of wondering if I'm jinxing us all with my pre-orders

Seriously though this will be great if it actually does make it to stores. Love the music in the series and I'm both surprised and glad to see it getting a CD release since DotM's score is digital release only.

wow, not often you see a kids tv cartoon get its own soundtrack. not sure if i'd buy it but the show definitely has a great score. it has a nice live action movie feel to it. sorta sad they used the dvd/blu-ray cover art though. i mean the mini-series disc used that art from the website and now this....its as if they didnt design anything more than 2 or 3 things. lol

Brian Tyler is really talented.

It is also a cool fun-fact he did the music for LEGO Universe. It is a pity it was discontinued.

I realize many of you might prefer the CD, but those of us who don't mind the MP3 downloads from Amazon, the CD listing for Transformers Prime: Music from the Animated Series indicates the MP3 Album Download will be $9.49. Visiting the Amazon MP3 link also shows it will be released this Tuesday, March 6, 2012, vs the Amazon CD link which in says it will be released on March 13, 2012.
