Hey, was it ever worked out who WFC E-28 was? I feel like someone deduced it but I can't find any information.

I like that idea.Tuned Agent wrote:D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I didn't realize until tonight just how few WFC cons have 5mm ports on the sides of their arms. I wanted to equip doublecrosser to a con, but it took a while to find one with the properly placed port. He ended up with Snapdragon

You could connect another ramp dude to Doublecrosser and peg all that into Dirge's forearm, to be held riot shield style.
The thing about the WFC Decepticons is that several of them are the Seekers, and so 5mm ports beyond the shoulder ones traditionally occupied by the Seekers' guns would have been hard to accommodate. Most of the other WFC Decepticon molds (Shockwave, Soundwave, Apeface (who has ports in forearms, shoulders, and elbows), Astrotrain, both forms of Megatron, Snapdragon, Reflector, Brunt, Fasttrack, Runamuck, and Runabout) fare better on that score.

Re: Transformers War for Cybertron: Earthrise Discussion Thread
Got my first Transformer for 2020 -- Optimus Prime!
Was going to wait for a more accurate deco but it didn't seem like it was going to happen anytime soon. (Look how long it took Takara to do the cartoon Dinobots and Terrorcons.) Figured that it's close enough "as is." And the missing yellow I can probably add on my own.
First impressions -- the trailer is so cute! It's like a mini MP.
Transformation is clever, HasTak continues to surprise me. I love how the front of the truck just folds like paper into torso revealing a muscular physique and a rather clean back (unlike Siege with a beach table on his back.) If they had managed to hide the wheels in the legs by flipping a panel it'd been even more awesome. I can understand the wheels on the back, they've pretty much exhausted all the free space in the torso. It would have also been cool if the head-sculpt was more like MP-44.
Is there a way to paint his face silver at least? No visible screw.
This line is crushing it. Sometimes I kind of wish it had come out years ago, before I got into MP, because WfC takes less space on the shelf, the characters get released pretty quickly, they're cheaper, articulation's good and the accuracy is adequate. The only real fail is the part-forming on figures like Arcee and Bee.

Second TF -- Snapdragon!
This is kinda nicer than Apeface. Lots of hidden compartments. And no part-forming/shield thing. Kind of wish the Horrorcons came out with the rest of the Headmasters, when I had more interest. Though they'd probably been not as good.
Now waiting for the Quintessons. I think they were supposed to come out in July.

Exactly the same. I had a bunch of thoughts I was about to type out in response but then I realized there's probably a thread somewhere around here more appropriately dedicated to this kind of thing...so I won't clog up the Earthrise thread with my TF buying woes lol.

Interestingly enough, they left the wheel hinge from Siege Prime's legs which allows you to rotate the wheels to the other side of the lower legs on Siege Prime, in Earth Rise Prime's legs, but negated it completely by adding the back panel.
So, yes, potentially they could have made it to hide the wheels, but chose to disable the option for some reason.

I think that reason was 1) to save money and 2) to give the figure a nicer looking back than Siege since the Siege version had so many negative comments on the top of the truck hanging out on his back. The panels they added clean up the back of the legs in bot mode and was probably a cheaper option than re-doing the legs completely.
My perfect prime would be the legs and ab wheels from Siege prime with Earthrise primes upper half somehow merged into a single figure.

I had the same backpack issues as most when I first saw the figure. Looked like a pointless light bar and panel and honestly it still is, but once in hand its not as egregious in robot mode as you may think.
Also I'm surprised nobody has designed a replacement part for him. The light bar panel is completely unnecessary in either mode, and a replacement bar could be made so the vehicle mode looks more G1.
All it does is hold on to the front of the truck mode. So a thinner panel without the lights can be made to serve the same purpose and produce much less of a backpack. The truck front would then be visible on the back but what you gonna do.
But yes, the tires collapsing into the torso where the arms used to be is a great bit of engineering, bit not sure whether I like EarthRise's side panels better or not. Its difficult to choose. Both have things I like and both have things that bother me.

IMO trying to hide the wheels is a dumb, unnecessary feature that's not with the cost and adds complexity that doesn't need to be there. They shouldn't do it with the calf wheels, and should stop trying it with the hip wheels. Just leave them at the hips on articulated struts like you did with Cybertron Optimus and ROTF Optimus, Hasbro. It would save so much smegging trouble.
Might get Barricade as a rank filler, idk.

Barricade looks good, if a little plain. I feel like black shoulders and purple windows would really help but of course the windows would take away some realism from the alt mode.
The Datsuns all look so good together though. Hopefully Amazon Canada gets it together and actually releases the delayed Prowl/Ironhide 2 pack. Finally got word my Smokescreen is in so I guess he'll be the first of the new mold for me.
Back to Barricade, I keep hearing that there will actually be 2 different decos, one being in the Netflix line? It will be interesting to see the difference if true.

My ER Smokescreen showed up today!
I've had great luck with Amazon... So he was "packaged" in a mailer envelope...
And yet is in basically perfect condition!
I'm going to start looking for Bluestreak. Probably this evening.

I wonder if it's possible to part switch ER and Siege Barricades to make an ideal Barricade, so here's what I'm thinking.
Siege torso, shoulders and head.
Earthrise legs, lower arms and doors (never mind the door connecters are different between the two versions).

I don't have any ER Datsuns and don't intend to get any, so I could be remembering wrong, but aren't the legs completely different shapes too? I don't think that proposed combo would be able to transform at all.

It's really only an issue in vehicle mode. If you're going for robot mode aesthetic, it can be done.Deadput wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:If it did, you would get a car with a low, flat round front and a high, square back.Nemesis Primal wrote:Deadput wrote:I wonder if it's possible to part switch ER and Siege Barricades to make an ideal Barricade, so here's what I'm thinking.

Robot mode is more important of course, I was initially thinking of this part swapping to have the benefit of giving Barricade a distinct car mode from the Datsuns that fits the 2007 character.
The Siege Barricade/Smokescreen head certainly looks more sinister then the Earthrise version so at least the head sculpts will be distinct across the 4 characters.

Re: Transformers War for Cybertron: Earthrise Discussion Thread
With the next galctic odyssey set revealed during today's fan first friday being an unanticipated micromaster six pack, we are left with three leaks/rumors but only two slots to fit them in: a Glyph/Tapout two pack, an ER Barricade with a punch/counterpunch redeco, and a white launchpad ironworks with the space shuttle micromaster team mold. I'm thinking the barricade rumor is mistaken, since the guess was that it was a changed release plan for the nextflix listing we saw a while back.
