BBFC Rating - Good News

Yup, its only a 12A and is 2 hours 23 minutes long. Best of all, there are no cuts, like certain other movies.

This is good news.
1.) It means it's not excessive. (And no matter what anyone says, let's face it...an R rated TF film just wouldn't sell, or at least not to it's full extent.)
2.) It confirms the rating we were expecting here in the US.
3.) It confirms the running time at 2.2 hours, and lets us know that they've added something to this. (I mean the leaked script was for a 110 minute movie, and it's now 143...that's a nice chunk of added running time.)
All in all? Yay!

It was stated in the "Killer 3" commercial. (Megan Fox, Jazz, Pontiac Solstice commercial)
Granted, trailers, commercials, etc still say not rated, but it'll be PG-13. It's too much for PG, and R would be too excessive.

pretty odd to me but why do other countries have to edit U.S. movies that are about to be released over seas. is their rating system more strict about what they can or could not show?

PG-13 seems to be right for the US release. R would definitely be too high. Everything from the trailers says PG-13 to me.

Yes, it's a PG-13 movie. They drop the "f" bomb during the desert scene so that ensures the "pg-13" rating.

Is this just in the script/book or was it actually filmed? The extended review on the BBFC site only references three bits of "language" and that wasn't amoung them. I'm just curious. I was really hoping that Bay could contain himself here. All debates about cussing aside, I can't think of any films marketed to such a wide range of audiences that would be so bold.

Looks like it will get an "M" rating here in Australia, which is about what everyone would have predicted, seeing as there are plenty scenes with "stylised violence".
Good fair rating.

This is what I thought from the beginning. It's too much violence for PG, but not enough of that or language to be R. I'm cool w/it.

I really hope there are no f-bombs - I'd hate to have to explain to my kids why I took them to see a movie with such language when I've always refused to do so in the past.

Is this according to the script, book, or the actual film (from someone who has seen it, or part of it)? Again, just curious.

Yep, kids say "****" all the time.....hell, I did in second grade and that was in 1988.
Well, if there ever is a R rated TF film, I'd deffinately go.

If it does contain the f-word, I may not go see it. I see no reason to have such foul language in a property such as this. It really bothers me. Call me old fashioned, call me what you will, but there's no place for that in the TF universe.
I hope...that that is incorrect.
No, there isn't any need for the "f-bomb" to be in this movie. Grow up.

I cannot see the point of having just one swear in a film. If you are going to have swearing in it then might as well go for it. Having just one will pretty much ensure a higher film rating and instantly limit your profit as smaller children wont see it. Seems silly to me.
Kids swear all the time, shame really as it shows they cant think of a more intelligent word to use instead.
