My question is, why the heck then do employees bring BF items out and why does it seem that not all store employees are on the same page?

Because WalMart does not actually pay them enough to care, or take pride in, their job.
ok being i've worked for walmart for 2+ years now and just became a department manager this is what happens...
1. the deparment gets a list of what items as black friday items.....
2. they come on a trailer litterally completely filled with crap....
3.the unloaders just see that it's a "toys" item and stack it on the pallet for toys...
4. when the pallet cant fit anymore stuff on it it is wrapped and brrought to the deparment it goes to
5. in the morning the associetes start working the pallet and if the BF stuff is on it then they leave it on the pallet and after they are done they bring it to the back and then it's put on a seperate pallet for black friday...

i hate people liek you guys that think just cause you shop there you know EVERYTHING about what we do when we work there.... heck you think just cause the employee is walking through thte department and say "sorry i dont work in this department" you get all snotty... you know if we are hired to work in electronics they dont train us to work in the toy department..... so next time you think you know what you are talking about just keep it to yourself.... * :-x end rant :-x *

The unloaders are supposed to take ANYTHING that says blitz on the item and put it on a seperate pallet. No Blitz goes out on the floor.

Hmmm, please don't take offense. All I said was Walmart does not pay enough for the employees to care. If you feel like Walmart is paying you enough, well then great

That being said, I very rarely ever find an employee who is able to answer my questions even if they do work in that department. No matter what justification there is because of what goes on behind the scenes, the fact remains that from the customer's point of view most employees are not informed enough to be able to help the customers.

And I did say most of the time, because every once and a while I find an employee who is able to help.
i'm sorry about that post well the beginging about the way the back room works is true but i'm sorry about the rest of it..... i was having a rough day and reading that just made me rant..... i'm sorry

If you're a Transformers collector, though, is saving a few bucks on these figures really worth the trouble of getting up and fighting for what comes out to be about $15-20 in savings? If you really want some of these Cybertron figures and you don't mind paying $5 or $6 more than original retail price, none of them are all that hard to find.

Yeah. That would be me. I did in fact go on Black Friday to get those two packs at Walmart. I also did it just so I could save that $20 on those figures. More if you figure how much more they would be on eBay. I'm glad that you have a great job that makes saving $20+ seem like a waste of time.

My husband, daughter, and I went a little after 8 (there's no way that I'm willing to get any of us hurt in the early morning trample!) and looked up and down the center isles looking for MP SS and those two packs. MP SS wasn't there (the toy manager doesn't think they will get him) and plenty of two packs.

One of each were bought as well as a Ben 10 toy for my daughter. We bonded over an early breakfast lunch at Burger King afterward. We then went home where my husband had fun playing with Downshift, I had fun playing with Thundercracker, and my daughter had fun playing with Benwolf.

All in all, it was a fun day!

No problem. Like I said, I meant no offense to anyone who works there. I just think WalMart in general should treat and pay its employees better.

Today I went in and asked a lady in electronics if she had any of the PS3 80GB systems with the 10 free Blu-Ray DVDs offer. There were none on the shelf. She checked stock, showed there was one in the store, and she spent about 10 to 15 minutes trying to find one in the back. She did it! She said I got the last of two PS3 systems they had for this deal. She was extremely helpful. She even tried to help me pick out some of the 10 movies.

Now I just have to mail in my rebate for 5 more free Blu-Ray DVDs. That is 15 movies + the game Motorcross + the 80 GB PS3 for the cost of just the PS3. I already have an XBOX 360 and an HD-DVD player, so I really did not need to get this but I just could not pass up the deal. After I sell my PS2, about 1/2 of the 15 movies, and a few LEGO sets I've had in storage, I basically come out with an almost free PS3 / Blu-Ray player.

I got deathstar vader on the navy base. Best place to be on black friday. Major discounts on already discounted items, no tax, and price matching (got the 46" sharp aquos for the same price as circuit city's ad, not to mention the vast amounts they had). That and its the most civilized. Nobody really wants to get hauled away by the MP for acting up.

Wow, I envy you, in the good way. Sounds like a great time w/ your family. I too have a spouse and daughter, but my wife has zero interest in TFs, but my little 3-y-o Ladybug is getting into them slowly but surely. I'm seeing to that.

Thx for the nice post.

I couldn't even find them. It doesn't even look like the Wal-Mart even had it. But there were plenty of MP Starscreams.
