Fugly BW Masks
Goddamned, today I was putting on display some original Beast Wars figures-the first batch of em. I noticed something today that hadn't bothered my for a while-but now they do-their alternate faces.
My god, the things are so damn pointless, meaningless, and are so butt fugly-especialy Optimus Primal's.
I am considering moding them-sanding the off, removing them, whatnot. What do you guys think about these 'alternate faces'?

they were battle masks, that was never used in the show. I don't really care about it since you can flip it around and see the normal faces. But for megatron and dinobot where they split in half, it looks like ****, so I take it out and keep it in a bag.

Yeah... but since Beast Wars are well, beasts, they can be seen in that light, just plain ugly as you say, but suitably so. I wouldn't file them off, just try to tolerate or else as bran10 says, don't use the masks. I'd keep them just so they keep their original form, and if value is important to you you definitely don't want them FUBAR'd.
By the way, I have to say that your title choice for topic was not descriptive, and potentially offensive. To Christians hearing the Lord's name used as an oath, and to non-Christians who might skip your post thinking it's a post for evangelisation.

You know, I was really hoping this thread was about a Jesus Christ Transformer.

Maybe I'm just in a highly suspicious mood, but does anybody else think it odd that Bonecrusher27, Briggs, and SpacerAM2 posted on after another, all voiced objections to the use of the name Jesus, and all chose "Programmable Explosive Shell Rotary Cannon" as their profile weapon

Yes it does sound suspicious come to think of it. I applaud your powers of observation and the ability to put two and two together. I congratulate your success in insulting my intelligence by suggesting that I would choose the same weapons for all my alt modes, and then proceed to write one after another to the same sentiment. My personal perception of SpacerAM2's being snide and sarcastic rather than being in agreement notwithstanding.
I'm sorry for inadvertently starting what is another of those puerile rounds of crapola that pervade public forums, that stupid actions can cause. In this case, what should have been a PM to Eradicator carelessly posted by hitting on reply through force of habit.
And for the record, I am a free thinker and proud of it. I don't like the label "religious right". But being a free thinking person doesn't preclude having some basic courtesy for the religions and feelings of others. My objection was not even in the careless use of what is a common swear phrase, but putting that as a topic title.
I do apologise if my carelessness has given ammunition with which to snipe at those who consider themselves religious or followers of Jesus Christ. For those who are suspicious from the other end, that the original post was intended to start just something like this, it was not. I've been on this forum for a few months and had no inkling there were any Christian haters here. This reaction was far from what I ever imagined would be generated, even if I had intended to post my message to Eradicator publicly. Which, I reiterate, I did not.

please change the thread title. it's not a matter of religion; it's a matter of respect. if you don't believe in Christ () then we can do nothing about it, we'll respect that - all we ask in return is to respect our belief also. don't put His name on some useless rant.
all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.

Free thinking as you are, I care nothing for organized religion. Everyone who has that inane I love JC stuff
in their sigs are trying to rile people in these forums and they know it. It has no place on a Transformers site.
Why the hell do we who don't share that belief
care to know how much you coddle your deity?
On the other hand you are correct and some better choice
for the name of this thread could have been chosen.

What he said.
It's not a matter of "coddling" a deity, it's a matter of showing maturity on the part of the OP. His lack of maturity derailed his "discussion", which is really just *another* topic on how ugly BW toys are. The thread has no value because
1.) this knuckle-dragger OP created a thread title that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
2.) the topic itself has been beaten to death. Where's that animaged GIF of the guy with the dead horse already?
If his brain isn't entirely surrounded by protiens as a result of being dropped on his head quickly and repeatedly as a child, I'll be even sadder for him because he doesn't even have an excuse for the retardation.
Further, DISCHARGE, there's exactly *one* person (at least in the toys forum) with anything about Jesus in their signature, and he's not doing it to get anybody riled up. You can't even form proper sentences to make your argument. Definitely a product of today's public school system. Let me know when you hit puberty, and I'll take you aside and teach you how to properly read and write.

Please correct my sentence structure for me.
If this has anything to do with the way my post came out
don't blame me. That occurred after I hit submit.
I've hit puberty, thank you, and no I won't be calling you.

There's already a Jesus Prime that I've seen post in the HMW forum.
This is the only way that the Transformers and God are really linked, though (and this is from memory so forgive me if it's not verbatim):
ELIAS: As it turns out, cars that turn into robots aren't really all that blasphemous...see, at Bible camp we made this...kinda...flow chart that, I don't know, proved that...well, since God created man, and man created the Transformers, the Transformers are a gift from God, Randal!
RANDAL: No, they are not. Just as God sent his only son to die on the cross and redeem mankind, and all we did to pay him back was make terrible **** cartoons, like the Transformers.
