Wal-mart rollback sale price $8.00, Their normal price for an Alpha was about $20, normally.
At that price Scalpers are having field days. It sounds like the location mine came from had a good number of them, but not many left and seeing I was at Wal-Mart earlier this week they've only been there a day at most.
They had Beta's for $10, but only ice daggers and Gunships. If they had Steel Crushers I would have gotten one for Cobrasticker Jackhammer conversion.

I saw them at the local walmart yesterday. I didn't have the cash to blow or I might have got some. Don't see what's so special about that volcano d00d and I don't want to crappy vehicle. Similarly, I don't want the Ice Whateverit'scalled; I just want the driver for some Metal Gear Solid Genome Soldiers.

So if I send one of you $50 for three (I do not want the mole pod) that would cover them and shipping?

Probably. My place only has one left so I won't really be able to help you. Sorry, man.

Re: GI Joe Fans Unite-- 25th Anniversary Fig Talk and More!
I never post in this thread, but I've got some news I didn't see mentioned that I think you guys would like to know:
I found some G.I. Joe 25th Anniversery figures at the Family Dollar for only $3 a piece. These aren't crappy repacked guys with no weapons, they look like they have all the accessories. Accroding to some online research, figures will vary by store, but at my local one they had:
-Bazooka
-Tripwire?
-Barbecue
-Snow Serpent
-Mercenary Wraith
-B.A.T.
-Armored Cobra Commander
I picked up Barbecue and Wraith for my bro, and a B.A.T. and Armored CC for me. Love the B.A.T., had one as a kid sans most accessories and it broke, so it's great having a new one for my own. As for Armored CC, well I had him as a kid as well(though I never used him as CC), and it's a neat design, so I went for it. I'm surpirsed they upsized the backpack and gun. What's the point of that backpack anyway?
Might go back for a Bazooke or Snow Serpent sometime down the road. I don't want to start collecting 25 Joe, but I will admit the figures are awsome and the battle stands are fantastic.

[subliminal]You do want to collect them, because they are awesome.[/subliminal]
Duke if you like the figures, you are coming to the party for 25th a bit late, but the upcoming Pursuit and Resolute figures are in the same style and looking quite good. It's a good point for jumping in.
I was in your position just over a year ago and bought the 25th Matt Trakker and Resolute Cobra Commander for the coolness of the figures not thinking about getting more, and now they are taking up a lot of space in my den.
Beware their addictive qualities.

1) Chuck, Have you been able to find a set of Alpha's yet? I have yet to be in a store with a full set of the Alpha's, but I still have my eyes open just in case.
2) I knows Numbers is aware I was working on it, but when looking for the Alpha I picked up a Ice Dagger for $10, and decided to try and make a Shadow Hyena Update from it. I'm still going to touch up bits here and there but here is the current result of the Red Shadow Dagger Hyena Custom. I have yet to figure out what I'll use for Red Jackal so I have stand-in figures in these.

Lookin' good, man! The only vehicle-related custom I've been working on is a papercraft Moldy Crow to display near my Kyle Katarn figure...

No I haven't since I won't pay the ebay mark up. I want them but not that badly. I like what you did with the dagger. I like the vehicle but never put it together due to concern over being able to break it down.

First toy I've bought in a long time. Finally bought City Strike Snake-Eyes for $10 at a toy show. Not a bad premium.

Nice on, SupCon! Don't feel too bad, they retail for $10 up here. The only one I saw at a toy convention was $40. LOLNO.

And now for something completely different; I was listening to a pod cast about TF's and heard abouT a custom animated tux which inspired me to look for my GoBots Tux when I found this:

This is a vintage Sky Patrol parachute. 1) any idea how to put it together? 2) any idea how to fold it?
If we can get this thing working I'll video the drop and we can have sibertron's first parachute drop.

Damn! Nice one, man. Good luck with it. I just put up the new Q&A with a special bonus comic if you're interested. I'm off to install/put up with/use third-party software to get around the errors of War for Cybertron.

Yeah I got sucked into some more plastic crack. Building one of those is like creating life. What errors in WFC? PC I assume? I've heard nothing but glowing reviews; from TF sites that may or may not have a "relationship" with Hasbro… Hmmm.

IGN and Kotaku dug it, too.
Here's what I posted in a WFC thread in the video games forum:
Disgruntled Numbers wrote:Okay, I just got back from the Steam forums. You can use a gamepad to play if you want, so plug 'er in and take 'em down!
BUT, what I have learned is that there is a slew of problems in the lazy PC port:
No multiplayer chat. No voice, no text. If you're playing with just your friends, I guess that's not MUCH of an issue thanks to Ventrillo/Teamspeak/etc, but there's no reason for us NOT to be able to reach our teammates in-game. Hell, even a voice command list would be better than nothing.
In terms of graphics, you can only change the resolution and texture quality. Also, framerate is locked at 30FPS.
No dedicated servers, but you saw that one coming.
There will be no DLC for the PC port.
There is ONE set of controls and they CANNOT BE CHANGED. Here are some screenshots of the control screens: http://img821.imageshack.us/g/twfc2010062215384847.png/ There is a third-party solution, though: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... ?t=1319047 for the keyboard, and I think Xpadder for the gamepad. Luckily, they allowed for look inversion control in all modes: http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn29 ... reenie.png
EDIT: Whoops, hit Submit instead of Preview.
One last thing, for now. All these issues could theoretically be resolved by modifying an .ini file, but, of course, that file is encrypted, leaving us, the PC games, once more short on luck.
If you have a 360 or a PS3, I think you should get a copy for your console instead of the lazy PC port. I look at my bookshelf and see the box I kept of one of my all-time favourite games, Activision's MechWarrior 2. I guess now they really don't care about their PC players any more. Our loss.
Writing my custom controls script right now.

IGN and Kotaku dug it, too.
Here's what I posted in a WFC thread in the video games forum:Disgruntled Numbers wrote:Okay, I just got back from the Steam forums.

I read an article a few years ago that said IGN was on the take so I don't take them seriously.
