Some of the head designs have a very Mcfarlane style design to them especial blackout I have looked at him multiply times it also looks a bit like the way they design some of marvel heads as well.

No idea what you mean about a McFarlane type head, seeing as Todd McFarlane makes a load of different figures, and they're usually human too.

I have a Cyber Spawn (2) Figure (series 28?) and yes, I know what you mean. The thing is, the way movie characters were designed, i dont think it would've been easy to look like McFarlane designs. But yeah, on blackout, that shoddy dabbing-the-brush-here-and-there look does make it have the gritty uber-detailed look of McFarlane toys.
These compare well to the TechnoSpawn characters.

Its hard to make the comparison when the images are too small to show all the detail.

Blurrz says,
Are you saying SPAWN is not the first toy line you think of when you hear "McFarlane"?

Well, SPAWN always in my head, but it's all about McFarlane Hockey Figures. What do you expect? I'm Canadian, it's in my blood!

Hmmmm.... I hadn't really thought of that, but you're right. Some of them definitely give off that McFarlane vibe. Especially the decepticons.
