Just watched latest episode, & yet another fine one it was too
with more Thunderbird Shadow action
looks like the final ep of season 1 will no doubt be a showdown with the Hood.

Next week will be the season finale.
And it didn't fly that much, it was a 26 episode season with a break in between. It's just a good show.

I thought the season might have revolved around his apparent disappearance, but it seems to have gone from him being missing (early in the season) to being dead (end of season).
Overall though, fantastic first season. I wouldn't mind seeing some two-part episodes to expand the story telling rather than quickly wrapping things up.

Apparantly he's missing prsumed dead. And they were never going to delve into it in series 1, but they said before it started that if they get a second series, they would start to explore what happened to Jeff. I'm currently watching the orginal series as well (for a tenner, how could I not pick it up?) and his calming voice of reason is noticably missing in the new one. Not that I'm saying that's a bad thing.
Completely loved this show. Really did. I agree about maybe some 2 parters though, look at what greatness they did with the opening episode.
Also, anyone seen or know anything about this TB2 toy (or can just translate this page)?

Guys on twitter have since told me it's a pod building set from Japan. That fits in the supersize TB2. But a UK version of it is on the cards, though no details yet.

Re: new Thunderbirds reboot on ITV Channel in the UK
Well, Argos had the multi pack of the ships for £22.49 so I figured I'd pick it up. Honestly, the quality of them feels much better than I thought they did when I handled them in their seperate packages. Probably would have been a bit dissapointed if I paid full price for them, but I'm very happy with them for what I paid. Though one of my back legs on TB2 has trouble locking in. It looks like the tab that's meant to hold it in place is juuuuuust missing the extended part that hooks over the leg, so it takes some effort to lock it in and it can easily bump back out.
Ha! Thunderbird S is in stock in some argos. If I'd known that, I could have picked it up when I was there. Still, looks like a good toy. There's a review on youtube.
You know, I think they missed a trick. They could have named Thunderbird S Thunderbird 6, make 6 a bit better than an old biplane.

wait a minute? Thunderbird Shadow is at Argos? i didn't know that, nor of the YouTube vid review of it! + it's not in the new Argos catalogue. i'll need to check YouTube & Argos website out.
also
Argos have a die cast of the Thunderbirds too! although dunno how articulated they are? i know decades ago there was thunderbird 2 that was made of metal....& was pretty articulated(the pod could deploy & opened & had a tiny metal TB4 inside) although the legs on TB2 were plastic.

Yeah, it wasn't in the catale or I would have nabbed it as well. The YouTube video was one of my suggested vids, only reason I found it. Was posted 6 days ago and the guy says in comments he got it from Argos. It's on the website but its not in all of the Argos around me, just the ones in Nottingham centre itself so it seems it's only just hitting.
Someone in the comments also said they got fab1 from tesco direct as well this week, if you're after that.
I don't know how to copy YouTube video on my tablet but just search Thunderbird shadow review and it should be the first vid. Looks pretty sweet.
There's loads of metal TBS based on the original. Dinky in the 60's. I had the matchbox ones from 92. Man tb1 and 2 got pretty worn out from rescue missions.

Re: new Thunderbirds reboot on ITV Channel in the UK
Dang, that supersize tb3 looks insane!
Oh, and I can confirm Thunderbird Shadow is indeed in Argos. Though I think I nabbed the only one in Nottingham. It was so brand spanking new, it wasn't even taken out of it's clear plastic shipping bag yet, so they litarally must have just come in. It doesn't have any folding wings or extending tail fin, and I can't quite tell if it's the landing feet or exhaust ports moulded underside, but I think they're the landing claws. Though they are painted like the main body and with striping, so maybe not. They don't deploy at any rate. Very flat, sleek underside.
And the bike deploying feature is really rather fun. A very good, solid thing. In fact, my only complaint is that there's 5 phrases, but only 2 of Kayo speaking. The other 3 are engine type noises.
But yeah, if you have the others, you need to get Shadow. Heck, even as a stand alone aircraft, it's worth getting. It's gorgeous. And it has it's own unique number in argos, so you don't have to pot luck it.

I've heard of that model kit, but only seen the box art for it so far. But a mate of mine who doesn't watch Thunderbirds and knows nothing about them (other than the basic things non fans do) has gone completely gaga over the design of Thunderbird Shadow. Didn't even know what it was called, he just loved the design of it that much.
