He doesn't have any ladder magic, but it seems to do a damn impressive job of keeping it out of the way! It must compress quite a bit eh?

It was hard to not put them on the shelf in gerwalk mode, tons of funI agree that the best gerwalk is Twin Twist, and if I ever end up with him that's the pose he'll most likely be in for bot mode![]()

You need more fire truck!Just realized the only firetruck Transformers I have are G1 Hotspot and G1 Micromaster Red Hot!!![]()
Thanks, you also need more fire truckD-Maximus_Prime wrote:Nice Backdraft pictures!! I only have 2 firetruck bots, and they are both pretty sweet!

It compresses enough, but no magic. It also helps lock the torso/backpack in. I'm not sure if you noticed in the pics, but Backdraft has some hella ab crunch. Anyway, here's his backside.shajaki wrote:Drafty is lookin mighty hot

I watched a video of Inferno's ladder "magic" and while impressive, something seemed off. His back looked good, but I like to see a little bit of the alt-mode on the bot. Backdraft's ladder solution is way better looking then this guy's.

I guess, I got these guys. You got a new haul of POTP's right?

And this guy.

I like the PMs/Decoys. They are a lot more fun than I would have expected and I like them more than the TM's weird vehicle weapon things. The detailing and deco's are nice. Just fun little mech suits to play with.
Grimlock is the teets of sheep

I've got him with me at work today, so I'll try and sneak in a few more pics and share more thoughts in the PotP thread.
I also got this guy.

Absolutely loving Grotusque and that sweet ass box he came in. Not really much to say about the monster redeco bot, just a real premium look and feel to him and an improvement on the already excellent Twinferno mold. OH, the Battle Beast TM is tops

I found some cool stuff to do with the feet and hand combos as well. Just need a moment to take some pics.

Sword fits in his right just fine, and it is working awesome for me, thanks.

I don't see that combo in the instershkins at all. Or I'm blind.
Best I can tell you improvised that cool ****, Mr. Miles Davis of Transformers accessories.
Edit: Oh wait, I guess I do kind of see it in the iscruchuns where it talks about "Prime Armor".
Yer still Jazzy though.
Edit: Edit: It shows you have to flip the thumbs 180 to make it sit level for foot mode.

Well that's gonna add some nice stability, but that would also mean no deltoids filler on the torso.
Only so many fists to go around.
So do you feel like these hands and feet are good enough, or would you be tempted by 3P upgradesies?

First off, four dinos, four fists = perfect for real.
I do like the sportiness of the feet and they will do fine for the occasional combine (ankle tilts go a long way). And I like these hands way better than the CW HFG. But, if I get any permanent PotP biners, 3p all the way double rainbow.
I'm hoping that the KOs rip off PEs new PotP styled sets just for variety sake.
Edit: hahaha, looks like monkey feet.

Wait... checking math....
But my point is if you want to have the torso fillers on Grim you can only have fists for hands and fists for fillers. That leaves no fists for feet add ons.
And, there are already 3P PotP upgrade kits? I did not know this.

yes and yesAnd, there are already 3P PotP upgrade kits? I did not know this.
Also I think the feet extenders look better like this. Mine are perfectly flat, but I do have the thumbs twisted up a bit because of the tabs.

TFC Toys Old Soldiers OS-01 Ironwill aka Ironhide

Bot mode: Big, beefy, heavy, highly detailed, practically kibble free and just plain imposing looking. Pretty much everything I want in an Ironhide figure. I like his almost Warpath dark red/maroon color too. At first getting him to stand is a bit of a nightmare, but I have since learned how to work with his weird heels. Think CW Menasor where the hip ratchets just won't click into a good place (after a few transformations and poses, the hip ratchets broke and now work like friction joints greatly increasing posablity). The way the feet are built gets in the way until you learn how to work with the design and not against it. Overall posability is not as good as one would hope with the arms being the most limited. Not MP but not bad, just your standard deluxe/voyager range of motion. They did toss in some awesome light piping that gives Ironwill dreamy dark blue eyes to get lost in.

Transformation: Argh! The first time it feels like you are going to break something at every step. Almost every piece and panel needs something else to move first and tolerances are plastic shearingly tight. Mostly pretty tedious, complexly so. But, if you like a very involved and complex transformation that yields great modes, then this is the jam. I found going back to bot mode wasn't bad and is loosening up. I found a few tricks on my way back that made it more pleasant and now I can go back and forth with very little frustration. I've found the transformation to be the perfect amount of complex and satisfying. There are definitely some cool tricks going on here, but using caution is advised.
Alt-mode: No complaints here. Once you get here this is clearly the strongest mode. Tight, dense, heavy and be dammned if it isn't the spitting image of Ironhide. Rubber wheels that roll nicely. It almost feels like playing with a Tonka truck! Alt-mode is tops. It's an 80's dorky mini-van and pretty much perfect. Nice deco and smokey clear plastic for the glass all around. Scales great with the MP car bots.

Accessories: This is a mixed bag. Ironwill comes with a small pistol, a large rifle and an arm nozzle. The pistol looks good and works well where the larger sniper type rifle just seems too large and he cannot dual wield and it actually works better with MP-10. The nozzle attachment doesn't really make much sense, butt.... plugs in just fine and does the intended job.

Bottom line: Overall the whole package is a bit of a mixed bag, but for $40 bucks I'm pleased and satisfied. Transformation is a little tedious and there are some weird design choices, like the one articulated hand. I do enjoy transforming Ironwill, but it took a few times to learn the ins and outs. That transformation leads to two very clean modes. Bot mode is leaning heavy on a more IDW Ironhide, where the alt-mode is very much G1. Accessories are all over the place and really don't seem to line up with any Ironhide that I'm familiar with. Articulation is pretty much in line with standard deluxe/voyager figures, but transformation and size are clearly MP-ish. While I love the awesome light-piped eyes, that is still is more of a mainline figure feature. Even though this figure straddles the fence somewhere between standard release and masterpiece, it will be my collection's MP/ultimate version of Ironhide. For the price I paid, I can't recommend this figure enough.

Wow, $40, Cary?! That looks like a perfect go-to for Ironhide; bulky like he should be.
The MP is very G1 cartoon accurate, but who says a favorite incarnation of a character must be?

I'm not digging the cartoon accuracy of the current MP figures. But then again who'd want a G1 toy accurate Ironhide either? Heads are for chumpsbodrock wrote:Wow, $40, Cary?! That looks like a perfect go-to for Ironhide; bulky like he should be.

Yerp, 40 cyber bucks over at BBTS. They still got him and their Ratchet (too bulky for my tastes) and a few other figures. I hear bad things about their Hound though, but if the price is right, money talks. Ironwill has a few drawbacks and isn't for everyone but pretty much checks all the items on my list.
There are a few other things he can do I need to show off. Like a radar/antenna in the right wrist and a screen and KB in the left

Hah, yes! It's those little things in the figures that can make all the difference.
I'm also on the lookout for a Ratchet....the MP is decent, but still not quite what I want. I basically want the IDW Ratchet. I considered the recent RID figure, but he wasn't quite right for me.
