Question / Comments about Sightings.

Postby JTKranix » Wed Apr 11, 2007 9:03 pm

I'm still fairly new here (300+ posts) and I'd say 90% of those are in the Michigan thread on the toy forum.

The question I have about the Sightings database is this - is it acceptable to post sightings for older toys like wave 1-3 of classics, .etc? I have posted sightings for the new stuff like Devastator, Rumble and Ravage.

So are there any general rules to follow using the sightings database?

The only real comment I have is it doesn't look like enough people use the sightings database. Most everything Michigan related is in the Michigan thread but I'd go to parts of Indiana or Ohio to pick something up and I'm sure there are people in IN or OH that would be willing to travel to parts of Michigan to pick something up - that's why I am curious about how much information is to much to add.

AFAIK, the only rule is, don't post a sighting unless you've actually seen it. Obvious yes, but there are a few twerps that hit the database everytime it's updated and spam it with fake sightings. :?

I'd say you shouldn't hesitate to add sightings of old characters if you want to. If there are people in your area that suddenly realized they missed out on a good figure that's virtually vanished from the shelves, they may appreciate your effort.
