So which classics 2.0/universe figure are you most looking forward to.

Well I have to say the ones that I'm looking forward to the most are Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, I've always liked the car Autobots the most, probably explains they outnumber my Decepticons. However, I more or less look forward to any new Classics toys and I plan on getting Octane. I haven't really heard of any others being confirmed beyond those three, though I have heard of Galvatron and Cosmos like has already been mentioned.
Now, I would just love to see Wheeljack get a classics toy. I always had a soft spot for him from the show and his toy was the only G1 Autobot car I ever owned.

I guess I wouldn't mind seeing proper wheeljack update he is one of the other g1 figures I have a soft spot for even if I never owned him. The other one I would love to see done as a classic 2.0/universe figure now that I'm thinking about the autobot cars/trucks is trailbreaker he was another one of my favorites from the g1 era.

Tigertracks, Clampdown, Deepcover, and Red Alert. cause you KNOW that someone is gonna do the repaints. i just hope that Deepcover is a repaint of streaker instead of swipe.

I thought that I read somewhere that Sunstreaker and Sideswipe will look alike but have different transformations.
No link or anything, but I am pretty sure it was something like that
man, i hope you're right but i have my doubts. i just hope they keep the transformations similar to the g1 figures like having sunstreakers hood become his feet and the opposite for sideswipe.

I wouldn't mind seeing galavtron done as well as the titianium protype of Cosmos done in the classics 2.0/universe line. Although first and formost I'm looking forward to octane.
I thought we were at least going to get War Within Prowl and maybe War Within Grimlock...that was my impression from BotCon...

Yes you will be getting those two but people were talking about getting titianium galvatron and cyclones to go with there belove titianium scourge. That won't be happen is all I ment and the amazing Cosmos protype that was made before the titianium line had been canceled would goto waste.

i heard a rumour that they're going to be exactly the same mold, but one that has 2 transformation sequences, 1 for sunstreaker and 1 for sideswipe.
just a rumour though!

It's not a rumor. Hasbro said they figured out a way to make the chests transform different. They look like the same cars in vehicle mode though. Although I would rather have them look the same since Sunstreaker seems to be the one to get the lousier look, an Sideswipe gets the cooler one in the past iterations of them.
Edit: And I HOPE Hasbro makes a Red Alert Repaint of one of them!!!!!!

We saw the drawings of the Classics Sunstreaker and Sideswipe from ComicCon (I think it was ComicCon...), the brothers are the same mould, but their colours, weapons, and heads are different. Sideswipe has his shoulder launcher while Sunstreaker has his silver backpack device.

Truth is I think it makes more sense for the brothers to have scaned the same car since they are brothers who is to say that they weren't twins but still have the jet pack and rocket launcher and different heads

Man, Hasbro's bean counters must be creaming themselves at the thought of how well this line is going to sell...
I loved the classics I got when they were out(missed Cliffy & Voyager Megs sadly) and chances are I'll buy the whole Classic 2.0 line and I'm sure I won't be alone.
It's a shame we have a whole year of the Movie & Animated lines to sleep through before 2.0 arrives

I'll get most if not all of the new Classics, except for repaints of characters from previous lines (if any) and obvious stuff like Mini-Cons, Legends, etc. I can't wait!
But hey, just start saving up from now, that way once Classics hits us you'll be able to buy more of them.

Octane is confirmed for Universe.
Ultra Magnus, is going to be in the Animated line. So no Universe, besides we already have a classics Magnus.
Ironhide... so far nothing has been said of him. although there will be a Ratchet for Animated.
Blitzwing has also been confirmed for Animated, so no universe appearance but he looks really cool in Animated, judging by his concept sketches in all 3 modes.
Cyclonus, would be awesome if he were in classics.
As for release, Universe, as far as I know is slated for Fall of 2008 while Animated should be out some time in early 2008. some people speculate we will see them even before that, although I'm not sure Hasbro would want to mix Animated in with the movie line so soon.

Yes and no...? Hasbro's mockups had the base of Sunstreaker and Sideswipe as identical, just the different heads and weapons, but they didn't clarify about the transformation difference. It might be that either mold could conceivably transform to look like the other, or that only the specific Transformer will have the alternate parts to look proper in robot mode. I think the idea Hasbro is shooting for is the former.
I'm sure it'll all be much clearer once they're closer to release or test shots pop up.

I think you're wrong there, he's going to be part of both lines, apparently.

Hasbro said at Botcon, that if a character got a figure in one line, he would not be in the other. They have said nothing to contradict that.
So until I here anything else, I'll stick by that.

True, they did say that, but I thought that they had made some exceptions at the ComicCon (or whatever convention took place after BotCon).

You know what would be cool? Instead of lhe Legends and Minicons that we got stuck with in Classics they could put out the WST moulds as the lower price point figures. Hasbro haven't released them before and they'd fit right in with the neo G1 theme of the line. They're cheap to produce and would sell like crazy at retail rather than import prices.
