49 years. Minus a break between the end of the 1989 and 2005 with a movie in 1996.

that's quite the run. it's an interesting show I just haven't got into it. my wife watches it all the time so I have caught a lot of the last few years.

Well that was ... meh.
But we did get a look at the new assistant at least, guess she'll be playing a different character though when she joins full time.

Yeah, I'm going to be spending the next four weeks waiting for Amy and Rory to leave.
I have to say one thing to say to Steven Moffat, though: if you write a Dalek episode and then promote that episode as showing "every Dalek ever", make sure you actually show every Dalek ever.

The Daleks on the planet didn't really seem any scarier than, or even different from, the "normal" Daleks.
And didn't Seven trick the Daleks into destroying Skaro?

Yeah, but it was brought back long enough for it to have gotten wiped out in the Time War...which Moffat also apparently forgot about.
And before anyone says it, no. The fact that it was around for "City of the Daleks" doesn't mean that it was brought back again.

I was looking forward to an episode with spiteful arguements between Amy and Rory over their marriage and the Doctor obliterating the dalek fleet and the Asylum, with some good old brooding over the Doctor's anger at the end.........What we got was a frightfully emotional debate with the Pond's and the Doctor not destroying the fleet and it having a sweet ending, of course with the exeption of Oswin dying.
I suspect they'll keep Jenna-Loise Coleman as the same character. I mean c'mon, this show can have anything happen! Why couldn't it have a supposedly dead/converted character return? I am also suprised that Rory didn't die

If this episode had taken place before all the daleks were supposedly destroyed, I would've like it better I think. However there's just too many questions. I thought only the coloured Daleks survived? where'd these come from?
Though daleks without memory (or fear) of the Doctor might be interesting.

No. It's stupid. I see it as Moffet capitalising on the "popularity" of the Weeping Angels to neuter the Daleks and establish his precious Angels as the scariest DW bad guys of all time.
And other questions.
The President? What happened to a Supreme Dalek?
The Predator? What happened to The Doctor being The Coming Storm and all the other names the Daleks had for him?
It just feels like this should have been a telemovie set outside of the continuity we've had for the last few years.
Darth Bombshell wrote:Some people might not have had a chance to see it yet.
Screw 'em. It's essentially aired in all the major markets (well except Australia, but it was available online legally for us)

Damnit..... Missed it to cable being out.. Stupid hurricane...
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I need to get a bit torrent program or something, so I can watch these episodes not long after they've aired! Plus Torchwood, which no US station has picked up.
I'm also a member at OG, but I haven't posted much. I think my SN there is Spike, or Rogue.
I have the full first season of Torchwood and I enjoyed it.
I also have the first Sara Jane Adventures which is really refreshing and a great fun show to watch.
I didn't watch full season and I have no interest to watch that.It made me bore thats why now I dont like this series.

So ... they're gone. And while i'm happy to see the last of Amy, I have to give Moffat credit. He did a good job. (Though lets see how long it lasts before he breaks down and brings them back, even if for a guest appearance, and even though they're locked away and he can't reach them)
River Song wasn't as annoying as she normally is.
The Angels however ... have lost their scare factor. So well done there Moffat, you took an original scary creature, over-saturated it, and ruined it. Though the Statue of Liberty as an Angel? I think the Ghostbusters would like to have a word ...
Matt Smith to me, really stood out in this episode.
So are we on a break now until the Christmas special?

I've said it elsewhere, I'll say it here. The Statue of Liberty as an Angel was so flippin' stupid I had to pause my tape and walk away from the TV for a moment.

Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

Why? My VCR works just fine. Why replace it if it works well?
