Really? Well, I guess it's good that he's keeping control.

That was one of the worst main events. It was an a great example of simple psychology and a taste for Miz and they have to give him the rub but following Undertaker it was anticlimactic. Yeah they are building for extreme rules or summerslam but still a tough act to follow.

What did you expect? Both Cena and Miz suck big time, the only thing that saved that match was The Rock. Besides, WWE should have learned from last year, and just make Taker's matches the main event from now on. The 1 or 2 he has left. I think he'll hit 20-0 and quit, or maybe have 20 and a loss against someone (preferably NOT HHH or Cena, but perhaps Orton or Kane) and retire.

The Miz may not be the greatest wrestler out there, but he does a pretty good job of generating heat.
And the best thing about him being champion? He's fresh to the title scene.

So was JBL, and he wasn't exactly World Champion material, either.
Anyways, Wrestlemania was pretty much what I expected. Sadly, a technical hiccup meant I missed the first ten minutes. Everything was great up till Cole/Lawler, which took the past six months or so of buildup and flushed it away. The worst part is hearing Cole brag about this on Raw tonight. I might skip it on account of that...or have the TV on mute. I haven't decided yet.
Taker/Trips was awful. Yeah, I said it. Once you get past the drama of whether or not the streak will end, you can see the flaws in the thing. It's also obvious that Taker's done. Whether he was selling or legitimately injured at the end, it's clear he's got nothing left.
Snooki was good, even though she did little.
Miz still the champ = proof Vince has gone insane and needs to be sent to the nuthouse poste haste.

You just said snookie was good but buried HHH and Undertaker. This will be my last visit to the wrestling thread.

nah, I reckon him wanting the company to be known simply as "WWE" and not "World Wrestling Entertainment" because he wants the "wrestling" component out of the name is a good sign he's gone insane.

I enjoy watching wrestling match.
Just seeing what they do is incredible.
They are great actors and a lot of hardwork is needed to be like them.

Considering my expectations for both matches, I stand by my statement.

Oh, sweet Jesus Christ.
They actually let Michael Cole and Jack Swagger win that bloody match?! Did they learn NOTHING from Wrestlemania? Seriously, the last thing I wanted to know when it came to finding out the Extreme Rules results was that I was going to have to waste more time tomorrow listening to Cole bang on.
At least they gave the World Title to Christian, even though it was essentially called from the moment he won that battle royal.

Raw should be fun tonight.
I hate Cole. And not in that He's-a-heel-that-everyone-loves-to-hate kind of hate. He's very annoying. I actually got interested in wrestling again recently, but aside from that punk ass John Cena, Cole is the other reason why I will probably not be watching again. Until next WrestleMania.

And just to prove that Vince really doesn't give a flying figleaft about his fanbase, at Over the Limit we're going to be getting Cena vs. Miz (again) and Cole vs. Lawler (in what is fast becoming the Match That Doesn't End, It Goes On and On, My Friend...)
Seriously, if Miz and Cole win, I'm done with WWE.

I bought the Wrestlemania 27 DVD set today, mainly for the HoF ceremony, and I must say, it was a fun HoF. When it was time to induct Sunny, I was reminded why I became a fan in the 90s. She still looks so good.

It came out today? I thought it was coming out next week. I didn't see it anywhere I went today after work.

Yeah, it's out today. I work at WalMart, I saw it as they were putting it on the shelves, so I bought it when I got off work. I know it has its own PPV now, but I miss Money in the Bank at WrestleMania.

That's funny, cause the other day I saw a TV commercial saying it was coming out next week. And I didn't see it at Best Buy or Future Shop when I looked yesterday.

Maybe in Canada it comes out a week later. After watching the entire thing, I must say it wasn't very good, certainly it didn't live up to the name WrestleMania. Best match on the card was Orton-Punk, followed by Rhodes-Mysterio. Both had the outcome I was hoping for. I also enjoyed the HHH-Taker match, but it was clear Taker's almost done. 1 more WM win and he's through. And the main event between Miz and Cena was pretty good and I was happy to see the Rock f**k Cena over. Cena's so lame.

Yeah, maybe. I think last year's Wrestlemania came out a week late, too.

I think it comes from the fact that we're watching it a month later, with all of the drama of whether or not they'll win pretty much over. I certainly don't expect Taker/Trips to hold up, since we know that Taker wins in the end.
Speaking of Taker/Trips, apparently they both took heat over the chair shot to Taker's head during their match. I have to wonder, since you have the DVD, and knowing how they feel about that sort of thing now in light of the Benoit fiasco, has it been edited out?

No, they left it in. As far as I could tell, there were no edits in the match. Every chair shot Taker took whether to the head or back was in. I did think there would be more destruction outside other than breaking that stupid plastic glass box Cole sits in. And he still had it the next night!

Heh. I figured they might have edited it out, considering how much of a problem it was.

When that happened, I thought, thank god, we're finally going to hear the end of that jerkass.

At the end I was wondering whether Taker was faking it or if he really couldn't stand up.

Yeah. Knowing the outcome ahead of time, as soon as Austin called for the bell, I just clicked to the next chapter. I didn't even want to see the crap that came after.

I just found this yesterday. Randy Orton messes up while trying to do the RKO on Chris Jericho xD. Haha, Jericho should've went down the 1st time, but he just sat there until Randy tried it a 2nd time!
