I'm left handed, but I don't have a left hand. Instead I have what I call a flipper claw. I've got half my thumb and instead of fingers I have 4 nubs, hence my username.
I have terrible luck in real life, but I have great luck in World of Warcraft.
I collect and paint Warhammer and Warhammer 40k miniatures, but I've never played a game of either.
I have a collection of about 25 swords and various other bladed weaponry. Including a scythe, and even a chain whip.

My mom does GIS stuff too, she's a programmer for a woodproducts company. Used to go to the big ESRI conference every year in San Diego.

Ha ha, yeah, that was always our yearly vacation, because we have family down in SD. I of course thought it was criminally dull, but when I grew up I was shocked to discover that my mom actually has a really fascinating and exciting job.

I'm Christian, though some days it's harder than others to be one rather than just name yourself one.
I'm a proud pappy of one (girl) and another one (girl or boy) due any day now. I'm left-handed. My favourite show is Seinfeld, and I'm quite surprised that Firefox didn't just underline Seinfeld in red. I know grammar, but I'm only a grammar Nazi if someone asks me to be. I prefer Hamburger Helper to KD. I read about physics, mostly string theory and relativity stuff, though that makes me out to be smarter than I actually am. My favourite movie is Event Horizon. I wish I had as much time for HMW as I used to. I love cereal. I run three times a week from an invisible monster who chases me for fun. I'm an anti-smoker. My favourite video game might be Resident Evil 4, but back in the day it was Duke Nukem 3D.
I've written a few fictional books, but only have articles published. Most of them are comedy (the published stuff is all comedy).
I've got two degrees, one in computer programming and one in professional writing (which isn't being able to write fiction on a professional level nor is it journalism).
I used to collect comic books, but now all I have time for is the Walking Dead. My favourite comic series of all time is New Warriors vol. 1, though that's long since canceled. Now I just collect dust.

Nice! I loved that comic. I still remember buying #1 at a Mr. Paperback when I was in high school. I still have all those comics (not the whole run though).

Yeah, I have to agree...
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Pretty boring compared with most of you, but here goes
I'm early 30's married 8 years with 2 awesome sons.
I have my BS in Biology and work in a completely sterile clean room where I grow human tissue cultures to serve as a therapy for treating burns, acne pitting/scaring, and wrinkle filling.
See the pic of me working!

^That camera isn't sterile, and in a little bit i'll let you know why i can say that.
My life is interesting, but not cool
Been married to my high school sweetheart for 8 years, have a wonderful 3.5 year old son.
I am a Navy Corpsman (like a medic, only better
) working on my degree in neurobiology and will go to medical school to become a cardiothoracic surgeon.
Right now, i am an Operating Room technician, so i work in an OR and assist the surgeon during their surgeries, so i also spend all day around a sterile field, hence the comment about the camera
I have deployed to Iraq twice and currently on my first deployment to Afghanistan.
I am a Star Wars Fanatic, my favorite character is the TIE Fighter pilot (they look awesome) and my favorite EU character is Baron Soontir Fel.
I fell in love with transformers when i saw the reruns on TV when I was 7.
I still play with legos and transformers.
I am an awesome paintballer and have well over 3k worth of equipment invested in the sport.
I love watching flash animations, especially the Madness Combat series by Krinkels.

Do you ever pretend to be Storm Shadow? And like pretend-attack a colleague with test-tubes held in a downwards fighting stance and totally pretend-kill them dead and then they just look at you and shake their heads like 'oh, there's B monkeying about again, when will he learn there's no time for having fun when there's SCIENCE to be done?'
Better make this post legal. I was shot once. Which probably isn't too interesting to all the Americans, who I figure shoot each other on slow afternoons just for the lulz, but when you're British and have never been to a warzone (apart from England, right IRA guys hohoho), it's possibly fairly unusual? I dunno.

You may very well starve to death...
I moved out at 18. What was startling to me, was the intense periods of silence. A family house is far, far louder than you can realize while you're in it.

I used to be a trainaholic, boxing, thai boxing, keeping weight down for fights, then weight lifting..now i just do roadwork and a bit of weights and im also heading for a mean divorce. im back into my guitar, writing, playing in a band, and im back into drawing, comics etc, doing a Transformers one now...the nerd in me has re-awoken and i couldn't be happier. The tough guy lifestyle does little to fulfill the creative side...but training does keep you sane in a modern world.

I've had severe sinusitus on\off for over about a year now - they're operating on both nostrils to remove the polyps I've got so they can clear my sinal passages properly. This Wednesday, I was diagnosed with having a benign tumor in one of my saliva glands in my neck, which they'll have to remove once they've cleared my polyps and allowed them to heal.
The next 3 months are gonna be real fun.

Unless your parents are hard to deal with (which is possible, I've known many a family like that), this is really a matter of pride more than anything.
You don't have to be religious to see just how true "pride goeth before the fall" really is. It's really a universal statement, in all honesty.
If this could better your life for the long run, isn't it worth it to try and work with the situation?

We've been here a year, and I've yet to find anyone to hang out with other than my wife's friends.
Not that that's a big problem, really. One's a Transformers fan(yes, she adores Stascream), one's a pen & paper RPG player, one's a vidja game player, so I've got all my bases covered. And other than my wife, we're all anime fans, too/
Miss my Louisiana and California friends, though, no people worth playing wargames with regularly here.
Still worth it to be able to move out of Louisiana, of course.
Also, I own way too many wargames models, especially for Warhammer and 40K.
