More likely an homage, but yes, they are fake; you can see part of the alt mode speakers on the side of the legs, and notice that the arms and legs fold to the side to form the backside of the larger speakers.

I also agree, he needs to be, at most, a large ultra class, otherwise he would be a fairly disappointing leader class figure, I guess if he was a titan, the city mode would be more fun, and the alt mode might scale with you in real life

They're both fake as in not functioning. Nothing more but sculpted detail. Seriously though, the ones in boombox mode (and it looks like they can really BOOM) are realistic, while the ones in robot mode are derived from the G1 original.

And he's not a city! He's a Base, big difference.

Two things came to my head after seeing this:
1.) This thing is gonna look really cool in Metroplex's arms.
2.) That looks hella-GEEWUN. If it's the right size, this will work perfectly as my MP Blaster. I always preferred the original toy's gargantuan stature when compared to the other G1 'bots as opposed to his average Autobot height in most G1-based media.

New Blaster looks like an intersting concept, but it's basically the G1 version with a base mode, and G1 Blaster just got a reissue. You'd think they might have chosen someone else to reissue with this in the pipeline.

I'm hoping we see some non-G1 guys in Titan Wars, as unlikely as it may be. In particular, this would be a good place for Tidal Wave to resurface, pardon the pun.

Just because they were too lazy to repaint some jets as seekers for him, doesn't mean we have to accept a half-a$$ed excuse for being shafted a set of decepti-limbs. As it stands we have 2 decepticon combiners and 5-6 autobot combiners

Acid Storm, Hotlink, Sandstorm (cancelled seeker) and Sunstorm. The seekers I actually care about, plus they would look awesome together; acid green, beige camo, orange, and purple, put them with a skywarp-ish recolor of cyclonus - maybe remold the combiner head to look like armada skywarp

I'm definitely all for more base figures now that I have started picking up more G1 and Universe Micromaster figures. Any of the base style figures work well with these size figures and I know that there will be more Head/Target/Powermaster figures in my near future (I have a decent line on some of the older figures) so any new bases will just add to the overall aesthetic of the "Cities" I build around these little guys.

I'm just saying, I think them having it out there means they don't intend to ever even things up or give him his own team. And if they did make a team for Cyclonus, all they'd get is "Why didn't they make (insert G1 rehash here) instead?" And I've come to terms with Hasbro making fewer and fewer bad guys as things go on. Be glad Combiner Wars isn't like the AoE and RiD lines. I'd love some more Decepticon combiners too... Ruination stands out to me as an easy one... But I don't see it happening. Why do you think I'm going for the 2016 FSS?

And just because you want more freakin' jets doesn't mean I can't prefer that in the off-chance they do this, they do a team that might have something a bit more interesting, some guys who might never resurface otherwise rather than another damn Starscream.

The robot mode is kind of squatty, it reminds me of the early pictures we saw of CW Prime. I see this as a large voyager, don't think it'll be a leader class figure.

What I dont like about this guy too much is how the transformation appears to be super basic, not too far off from the G1 version (with a difference in the leg transformation).

Although I am all about headmasters. I love the idea of interchanging the heads.

At this point, at least to me, all these damn seekers are the same. Random background Starscream recolors are less interesting than something which could be a genuine surprise like, for example, if they redid Breakdown as Cybertron Hot Shot (Perhaps sword gun could be red to match Cybertron Defense Hot Shot's blade?) or released a figure of some IDW comic character that was never really envisioned in plastic like Blackwall or Rung (if they ever reveal what his alt mode actually is).

I'm all for everything you just said and more, though preferably more towards decepticons. But I actually like the 4 seeker limbs I pointed out, and wouldn't mind seeing them come to fruition in some form, hell 1 never made it past the hand-painted prototype stage as far as I know; combine (heh he) that with the nice and unique color pallet, the general obscurity of the characters, and the general quality that are the skydive limb clones, and I feel like you could eek out a fairly solid combiner.

I don't really want to turn this into an argument, I am agreeing with you; I was just pointing out how this seems like an obvious choice that has been ignored by hasbro, that in itself is interesting, but I have actually taken a liking to sandstorm, and hotlink, while acid storm (that name ) and sun storm have been some of my favorite decepticons (visually speaking of course).

I do have to agree with others hellscream, the rainmakers tend to only come out when hasbro feel like it or if there's enough demand. Not that there's anything stopping you from trying to make your own

Back to blaster, I wonder what event they were going to reveal him at then since hasbro has been quiet about titan wars

Was playing with my lil hamsters earlier. I was sat on the floor with my legs apart and my arms up while they crawled and climbed about on me and suddenly I realised I was the equivalent of that Blaster base mode. Even tilting my head forwards and down so they could crawl up the back of my head.
