Can I just have the big cannon to give to my Classics Cliffjumper?
If they give us Tap-Out from this, then maybe I'll pick it up.

Genrations Deluxe Warpath is already one of the best Transformers toys of all time and fulfills any need one would have for a bigger warpath. And you can always wait for an MP warpath down the line, which would also end up scaling as a deluxe warpath for a classics scaled collection.
If we are to get another warpath in generations, I would much rather not have another placeholder and be given one that is to scale, which is what the siege line is about anyways.

That's a great toy (the deluxe) but it isn't G1 aesthetic with the h-tank and slightly Bay-esque face. Like others, I'm still hoping for a more cartoon accurate one, as well as the other missing minibots.
Also still holding out for a flying saucer Bee and box ship Wheeljack from episode one. Not letting you off this easy, Hasbro.

That partsforming is a deal breaker for me. A smaller deluxe figure that partsforms for 20 bucks. Pass. I'll keep my classics Cliffjumper.

One of the best parts of this fandom is you could have a half-dozen people say "I only collect G1 CHUG" and they could each have a completely different set of figures that they're all happy with.
For my part, I'm virtually all-in on WfC for '84-85 and Prime Wars for '86-88, with some scattered Universe and T30. It's a good time for Generations.

The only thing on my camera roll right now is Season 2 non-combiner Deceptions. I've since added Reflector (x3), the Combiners and sold the Classics Seekers to replace with Earthrise (and Siege, if necessary.)
Oh, and I have Siege Soundwave and the tapes. Guess I should retake the photo for '84 and again later this year for '85. And use the lightbox this time, that's why I got it.

Pretty sure Warden said at NYCC that we've missed the chance for Boxjack, or at least he insinuated we have, because he didn't win the Siege poll. Someone directly asked if Wheeljack would have been the box ship from the pilot if he was made in Siege, and Warden confirmed that to be true.

Yeah, my hopes are dimly lit, I understand. If they've already done the tooling — which the discussion infers they have — then we could still see it as an exclusive set for a convention, store, or select release.
If Hasbro drops the ball, I will fully expect a 3P to come to the rescue after the WFC trilogy ends.

I am not as upset abot the Partsforming as ai am disappointed, and at that I expecred him to say that it comes off so ot can clip to the end of a base ramp and become a gun placement. But its still a cool figure with an awesome accessory, and I am all for a not-Bee Cliffjumper. Even with the backpack coming off, I still like this at least as much as the GDO figure and cannot wait to get him.

Yeah, there's a part of me still hoping you can finagle the arms out and leave the back pegged in through the transformation without partsforming.
I'll just leave a space here below for trolls to say you can't.

It looks feasible to me, as it appears to only peg into the hands and slides or clips over the side panels.gothsaurus wrote:Yeah, there's a part of me still hoping you can finagle the arms out and leave the back pegged in through the transformation without partsforming.

If you flipped Cliff around 180 and turn that backpack into a li’l overhead cab I could see Huffer. Turn the backpack into a camper shell and you could turn Cliff into Gears or Brawn. I could see remakes into all the smaller scale 84 Autobots because of that one part forming piece. I think they’re going places with that mold this round. Not just Bumblebee. Hopeful thinking

I would love for it to be true that you can somehow leave the rear end of the vehicle attached as you convert to robot mode, but it doesn't seem possible. The hole where the back kibble plugs into the robot mode is located on the bottom of the car mode, just past half-way from the rear end to the front bumper. I suppose you could finagle the arms such that you pull one of the red tabs out of the fist, lift out the black tab to connect to the back hole, and then maneuver the other arm over to the hole and plug it in before taking the other red tab out of the other fist. That way, the pieces is always pegged into something, even if it's completely removeable from the rest of the figure. The drawback may be that, putting the back kibble in place before transforming the rest of the figure, particularly the legs and torso, might get in the way of that process. I'm going to have to watch the conversion several more times to get a good idea of what goes where when.
EDIT:
I took another look at the video, and I don't think it really works out not completely removing that back piece for transformation. The kibble would make it nearly impossible to transform the legs back and forth because of how everything folds up and flips around during the conversion.

As some have already mentioned regarding Warpath, the 2010 generations figure is great and would honestly be good in fitting in with my semi-classics collection. Only two minor inconveniences for me: 1) Wasn't fully into the idea of classics themed figures at the time and missed my chance to nab him. Ebay may still be an option though. 2) aesthetically speaking an updated Warpath done in this War For Cybertron style would still be nice. And even if he would be smaller like his fellow minibots, I'd prefer a more accurate representation than the legends one we got recently.
Back to Cliffjumper, I like him but probably wouldn't pay the full $19+ for him. Discounted for sure.

It's a day late, and maybe a dollar short, but TonTon has got an Earthrise Cliffjumper review up now too. It's got a lot more (and better) size comparisons in both vehicle and robot mode to study. Still, why don't these reviewers have Titans Return Bumblebee, or ANY of the Legends Class Minibots from over the last 6 years, to use in these videos? That's what we all really want to see!
