I would get more then one, as I think they'd be perfect for troop building shields
I also wonder if Hasbro would consider putting a pack of them on Selects, calling it a city building set or something. In fact for such a set they could dispense with the robot modes and just have the road sections.

Have I landed in a mirror universe? Because I may get multiple...
For me it depends on a few things. First being how is the transformation? For Soundbarrier it looks like you just fold the ramp portion in half on his back to go to robot mode, which is pretty boring to me. It isn't like the battle masters had a much more involved transformation or anything, but simply folding in half?
Second being price. If I desire extra ramp pieces, then doubling up on Ironworks and the other base-inizers, while more expensive, gets you more potential ramp pieces for your money.
The wild card will be if I can find any of the ramp type battle masters on clearance like they did for the Siege battle masters at Meijer, or as an add on at one of those Target sales to get me up to $50 for $10 off or $100 for $25 off.

I can see myself getting into this series as im not a big fan of the Siege series. They're okay but i like more realistic vehicles. I guess ill see how they look in person.

I'm not going to be getting bases, so there's not a whole lot of reasons for me to be getting multiple Soundbarriers.

I'm planning on picking up at least 2, maybe 3.

Oh, like driving all over one of him isn't cruel enough. And if that's not bad enough, using him as shield, too? Seriously, that poor little bastard's life must be nothing but suffering.

I'm probably only going to get 1 Soundbarrier, but if they release repaints or others of a similar purpose I'll pick them up. It'll be useful for connecting some of the micromaster bases, but otherwise I'd rather only have one of each character

I'm glad Siege took a break from the combiners. I think of Refrakor as the first official WFC combiner sometimes but we all know what we think of when we say combiner.
Instead of combiners we have this massive new commander class. With Titans, commanders as big as the old combiners, where would new combiners fit?
I was just saying in the Raiden forum how at some point we have to see some combiner action in this series it's just going to happen I can feel it in me guts.
This will no doubt be a new evolution of the combiners we saw in CW through PotP including Devastator's unique combining method.
It's all starting fresh, nothing but fun possibilities. What do you all think might be some of the first combiners we see in this series?
Sweet Christmas, with how much I've loved Siege I honestly can't wait to be wowed by whatever they come up with.

And man I tried going back through all the forum pages for an answer but is someone able to help me get how Grapple attaches to or becomes a bridge with the roadbuilding system? I don't see it.
I see Hoist's trailer bit that becomes a road piece but where is it on Grapple?

Well, I'm not convinced we'll see combiners in the trilogy, but if we do, I would like to see Road Caesar or Liokaiser get updates. And I could see them somehow making them compatible with the CW systems. Only thing is, if they do them, they need to have their original gimmicks. But I think it'd be doable for the last part of the trilogy, especially if they do Star Saber and Deathsaurus

Grapple’s A.I.R Lock (connector) is in his claw/hook. I think it’s more for imagination/play. But we’ll see what the fandom does with it.

I dont think Grapple does that, I only heard that to be the case for Hoist.

If devastator shows up it might be IDW/all hail megatron style with no extra pieces/just the vehicles that make the combined form up. Would rather see Raiden and liokaiser/rescue force with additional bots. I dont really want to want to buy combiners for a 2nd time. Tracking down the seacons, predacus, magnaboss parts is going to be expensive enough and that is leaving out the fanclub exclusives for sanity.

Re: Transformers War for Cybertron: Earthrise Discussion Thread
We have the Seacons coming through Generations Select. I do not think there is any need for other new combiners, especially not Liokaiser, even though he was only a redeco. Devastator was recent enough, and popular enough, that I do not expect him to be revisited anytime soon.
Micromaster combiners could be interesting. I could see a Sixbuilder release, redecoed as a smaller Devastator. That's the only release I could see fitting into the current trilogy, and that would also be distinct from the last trilogy.
I know there is demand for Monstructor, but that would only make sense to me as a Selects release a la the Seacons.
There have been a dozen combiner team releases in the last four years, I think we're good.

I don't know bout Monstructor, I'd think he'd make a pretty good titan class release. After all using the cw system, he'd have to lose a member like Liokaiser did.

I dont think he's popular enough for a Titan Release. Plus, he has a whole other gimmick going on with the fact that he is made up of pretenders.

Problem with Selects Monstructor is that unless we settle for Terrorcon redos, we're not getting them from that line as all the new molds came from Takara, and I think they'd be more interested in doing Dinoking

That's pretty much a given, Slog/Kakuryu and Birdbrain/Rairyu would have to be new molds. The rest can be done with Blot (again) and Sinnertwin, with Cutthroat already having the Wildfly/Yokuryu head built in.

Unless...hmm....we’re talking about multiple six member or odd number combiners here. I wonder if that’ll be the new gimmick or a new gimmick: a new six member combination system. Interesting. Modify it into whatever you need, remold it, redeco it, maybe a way to just do 3 like for Road Caesar. Interesting to think about.

We need a Titan Monstructor complete with pretender shells. Or a smaller boxset where the robots use the designs from the shells for robot modes ALA HftD Bludgeon and Generations Skullgrin.
Monstructor needs to happen. He is literally the LAST US-released combiner that needs an update.
