Commercials for movie toys?
Were there any commercials for the movie toys? I haven't seen any and would like to see some if any are on Youtube or something.

I haven't seen any here in the UK. I guess they thought the movie and surrounding promotion coupled with front of shop displays in TRU and Woolworths were enough to raise the Transformers profile enough for the kids to activly seek out the toys. Anyone know if this is working?

Actually, the commercials were not shown in the UK because you're peoples mothers complained that the movie was too violent for little kids. They even tried to demand that burger king not carry the toys!

I don't remember them ever showing commercials on TV, but I know they existed; they were shown on the monitors at the Hasbro Toy Shop booth at Comic-Con.

Wow! and I though Soccer Mom's were more of a problem in the US. Do you think maybe they complained that the movie was too rubbish for the UK audience? That seems more likley.

Oh yeah cos American pop culture is so much better, country music, Britney Spears, terrible mass produced sit-coms, a gun in every home? English pop culture is the best and you know it!

They've shown adverts for movie toys on Saturday / Sunday morning TV.
I've certainly seen ads for the Prime & SS arm blaster thingies and the voice changer, and I think I saw some for the figures when the movie was new out.

Ha! So that blows the claims about UK soccer moms out of the water. I did think that was odd seeing as we got TV adds for the actual movie featuring Bonecrusher smashing a bus in half show before the watershed here in the UK, surely thats far more violent than any Toy commericals.

If they have some or made some, they'd suck compared to the G1 "Bruticus is one bad dude-icus!" one.
