And what about those of us who love figures like Nicee & this new Windblade? No respect for our feelings & opinion? If I complain about figures I don't like (Bumblebee, Cyberverse, Animated) I'm told to STFU & simply don't buy it.

Nicee, Windblade & Earthrise Arcee are at the top of my want list. I'm also a huge Sorayama fan because of his "sexy robots". Windblade & Nicee are right up my alley. I just hope Flame Toys ignores these damn people.

I love the look of the Windblade, and I'm disappointed there's such a backlash. I mean, she looks sleek, elegant, athletic and powerful, and also happens to have buttcheeks.

I see nothing wrong with the design other than she's maybe a bit curvy but then again that just might be me being more attracted to boys. :v

We're months away from release, it's not even up for preorder yet. A lot of the interest I saw on Twitter was posts like "I don't collect Transformers but I'm going to buy two!!" I'm skeptical that those will translate into actual purchases.

fair point, it may come down to how hot the conversation is when the preorders come up for these 3. No such thing as bad press after all.


There are obviously people who want the Windblade figure because they legit like the look, myself included, and I honestly hope the majority of people who buy it do so because they like it rather than out of spite.

There's also a possibility the design could be modified before release, which could lead to new attention, positive and negative. My personal hope is that the final figure better reflects the source material. I can only speculate on how the last several days might affect the final release. Flame Toys tweeted out before the reveals that they would have a presence on the Toy Fair show floor, and I'm wondering if they may pull this model just as they pulled the reveal pics.

They do have that people in armor feel to them, but I'd like to get Rodimus and Wingblade. I would have liked to see Arcee done though.

I just saw the Yellow Flash's video about the usual puritans on twitter complaining about the wingblade figure. I wish these companies would realize that twitter does not represent the people who will actually be buying there products.

I think the break down on twitter that I've seen is something like 20% of the population is on twitter, 12 % are active and like 7% just complain. Tim Pool on Youtube does the breakdown every so often, and I'm just going off memory for the numbers.
But it still holds, Twitter does not represent the majority of people.

Trying to lighten the mood aside, if that Windblade gets cancelled I won't be broken up about it. Maybe they'll do a more low-key release, maybe they'll drop it and a 3rd party will fill the gap. Honestly out of the designs that Flame Toys is doing, that Windblade, Devastator and MAYBE Bumblebee are the ones I'm interested in. Devastator can't not look awesome, Bumblebee is a very good representation of his G1 self with a little bit of artistic interpretation done, and Windblade is actually very accurate (other than the butt) to how improbable her transformation is from any of the page/screen versions where 90% of her vehicle mode bits just disappear. I'm not really a fan of how Rodimus looked in the IDW comics, but I'm not a huge fan of the character anyway. That Optimus Primal I need to see coloured before I can form an opinion. I'm in the area of liking it, but it seems a little off somehow, I can't put my finger on it. But if it turns out great then I would absolutely be down for an entire Beast Wars styled line of these! And I will be getting some popcorn ready for the tire fire that will rise from Blackarachnia's boobs. Or Rattraps thicc @$$

I agree too. It apply to everything, really. WAY too many people have that weird mentality of "If I don't like something, NOBODY should like it." They see the thing they hate as some sort of sinful abomination that must be purged from the universe.

No matter if it's a movie, a book, a figure, a food, anything, there will always be those people who will not be happy unless the thing they hate is DESTROYED. This phenomenon is true since dawn of times and is part of human nature.
