Oh there was an option for classics sized all right, it's just that for some reason, people thought that alt-mode MP scale was actually important. Like I said, this is what happens when a company listens to the noisy minority.

If their is any blame here,I think,it rest more on Keith and less on the fans. Keith should have done a poll on all the TF Forums not just the TFW forum.

It was also on Facebook, the tfw one was done by a member after the FB one came up.
There were only two options
1. Scaled to MP 10's bot-mode with an undersized alt-mode
2. Scaled to MP-10s alt-mode with an oversized bot-mode

They even pointed out that if they go for alt-mode the thing would be larger than MP01, but the idiots didn't care because we're apparently not in this hobby for robots, but for stupid cars and trucks and planes.


And no matter what size, this does not fit into an MP collection, the design is too classics to fit with anything that's supposed to be highly accurate to the '80s incarnation.

I get having issues with this figures size, but I don't see why people don't think its an accurate rep of the G1 toy/movie figure. What about its look is off to you? I voted for it to be scaled to robot mode myself but now I'm content with him. I still really like MP1 and they look good together. Gives me more incentive to display him again. Might even break out Megs to put together on a corner shelf.

Same complaint people have with MP-22. It isn't an exact replica of the G1 toy.

The only things I can really think of is the grille guard in truck mode and the feet in robot mode. Not sure about the head.

I was also gonna get this to go with my MP-01, but considering that MP-22 is a bit shorter, it might even be better for MP-01, though he was scaled for MP-10. For some reason I always thought Prime and Magnus were the same height.

Just curious what everyone here thinks of MP-22?

I already paid for my pre-order for MP-22. I'm very happy that it'll scale with MP 10 in both bot and Alt mode. Costing the same to the end consumer I'm sure Takara's budget is much much bigger than what KFC had to work with (due to economy of scale), not that that is the only indication of the quality of the end product but I'm sure it doesn't hurt. very confident that MP-22 will end up being the better of the two.

That said I'm also wondering how the QC is on Stacks, I feel like the only people that has this so far besides our one member here that provided an awesome group of pictures, are reviewers who are sponsored.

Almost everybody on here seems to be glad they waited for MP-22 both price wise and scale wise. Yet KFC claims citizen stack sold out and is getting a 2nd run. So Im gessing the online retailers bought them all up in an unlucky gamble ? BBTS and TF Source must have piles of them stacked up, no pun intended.

I ordered MP-22 as soon as he was announced. Even with the lowered price, I was somewhat bummed since many of the overseas online stores are selling him for $150 shipped.

That said, I'm getting 2, and they're in such a large order at TFsource that I was able to get a free GDO Megatron and G1 Reissue Anime Colored Devastator with my purchase. Selling those freebies should make up the difference.

Just to answer my own questions.

I preordered MP-22,The price I thought was fair. I estimate the Hasbro USA TRU Price for this in 2015 to 2016 will be well over $129+ another $13 in Tax. Online sites don't charge Tax,so thats a $13 in savings. I am not going to wait another year for the Hasbro USA version,Just to save $40 on this toy. The plan is to get one Takara version & One Hasbro USA version of MP-22.

I was one of the ones worried about a Nine inch MP-10 white Truck cab getting wrapped in car carrier traIler armor. I was thankful to find out it wasn't this. I like the one piece transformation better.

I bought the KFC UM & I'll also be buying MP-22. I don't see the big deal in getting both toys. As some or most here buy multiple versions of toy characters they like Spread accross other alternate universe TF toylines & 3rd party versions.

I like the height of this MP-22. I'm a bit worried about what articulation the MP-22 feet and waist has. does it have a Rotate waist joint? Feet look limited in Articulation.

I like the Grey test colors and sculpt on MP-22. Wondering how it will look in the 1986 UM colors.

im pretty sure that stack was released and sold out before the "real" proto shots of MP22 were released. up until then all we had was the silhouette.

It's safe to say for now,only the Tomy version will be released. Or you want to wait another 6 months + in 2015 for the Hasbro version.

That's a funny statement as the second release will have improvements like extra paint apps and different joints? lol Heard people are pissed so that's a nice way for KFC to spin it. something "unique" hahahaha

Full list of changes and what they mean:

Shoulder front a little red painting app - cosmetic

Shoulder back added white painting app to matching knee white painting in alt mode - cosmetic

The shin interior part close to the feet with red instead of blue for better carrier base color matching , also there are some metallic paintings - cosmetic

Eye with metallic blue painting instead of blue clear - cosmetic, although in the pictures I've seen it doesn't look much different, and I plan on repainting mine anyway.

Knee / elbow with spring gimmick instead of ratchet - future-proofing. Most customisers will know how this joint works, but basically a spring pushes a sprue forward locking the joint until enough force is applied to push the spring back, as apposed to friction. On a toy that will get a huge amount of play over the years, a spring will usually wear better. For a toy on a collectors shelf the difference is negligible.

Arms with modified pipes painting apps - cosmetic

Waist with one layer in red instead of blue make the torso more good proportion - this is cosmetic, but arguably tapers the waistline.

Apply yellow paint apps where appropriate - Cosmetic

(I guess I just cannot get over this particular repaint...)

LOL no this is apparently not a repaint just the second wave. I guess it did well enough to have a second wave? also I'm not sure that piss color magnus is being made. I thought it was put up to a vote bwt that and the other repaint "power convoy"?

Hmm, so improve the toy and tell us that bought the first wave we are actually benefiting by having a unique version. If your gonna fix mold issues thats one thing but don't blow smoke up my ass that I am lucky...Might be enough of an insult to hold my dollars back from any future KFC toys.

Here's the 2nd run of stacks with his new cosmetics . Even though i don't have the figure i thinks it's a total rip and these should have been on the first run . All KFC seem to do is milk re paints .

don't like how the red ankle collars look. Prefer the blue ankle collars front the first run better.
