G1 Prime and Jazz win, otherwise the movie bots will take it. Not that the G1 counterparts suck and or weak, gust the movie bots have more size and weapons.

G1 wins.
In fact, the only character that the Movie version might have the G1 version overpowered is Ironhide.

I'll take all the G1s, except for Bumblebee. Movie Bumblebee can beat G1 Bumblebee because that's how crappy the G1 Bumblebee is.

Movie Bumblebee brought something new to the character: Rather than being a lame-ass robot with a lame-ass alt-mode that fangirls took to mean he was "Cute," the movie made him something of a cocky smartass, but the kind you can easily like.
Good thing that they kept that for Animated.

I say Movie BB kills G1 BB, then G1 Prime takes him out and uses his gun to shoot down Movie Jazz. Movie Prime than takes Jazz's corps and goes "Aw, Jazz!" then looks up just in time to see G1 Prime's Ionblaster in his face.
Then G1 Jazz takes out Ratchet and gets blasted by Movie Ironhide, who then blasts G1 Ironhide, then G1 Prime goes mental and beats the **** out of Movie Ironhide.
The end

The Stronger team would go to the group with the more effective members in combat. I'ld be reluctant to place one Primes five mech strategies so far above the other.
G1 Optimus Prime= bigger and stronger do to added mass shifting
Movie Jazz= May have a BET inspired voice file but seems more dangerous
Movie Ironhide= Too much firepower to loose
Movie Ratchet= Is more of a combat medic then G1
Movie Bumblebee= was actually meant to be able to fight; could have been named Hotshot though...

The movie ones win cos they are all better.
And whenever i look at g1 Bumblebee transformerd into a car the word rust bucket runs through my head.
I hate VW beetles , they are vile.Awful car.
Why would fangirl like a car like that. That is so very sexist.
i am not a fangirl though.
Actually i like fast cars with style.

G1 Prime > Movie Prime
G1 Jazz > Movie Jazz
G1 Ironhide < Movie Ironhide
G1 Rachet < Movie Rachet
G1 Bumblebee << Movie Bumblebee
I believe that G1 Prime would be able to handle Movie Prime based on that G1 Prime could stand up to Megatron and sometime outpower him. Plus he seems more sure of himself.
I believe that G1 Jazz is slightly better than Movie Jazz. G1 Jazz looks better for combat and probably could stand up better against Megatron than Movie Jazz did.
Movie Ironhide would be able to outpower G1 Ironhide, though it would be a close fight. They woth have a good set of weapons and such but Movie Ironhide seems to be bulkier and a bit more stronger.
Movie Rachet would out duel G1 Rachet. Like what was meantioned earlier, Movie Rachet seems to be more build for combat and a medic while G1 Rachet is more suited as a medic.
There really is no comparison between G1 Bumblebee and Movie Bumblebee.
Movie Bumblebee has him in all aspects and makes quick work of his G1 conterpart.
So what is left is for G1 is Prime and Jazz while Movie Ironhide, Rachet and Bunblebee. Movie Ironhide and Rachet would probably double up on G1 Prime while Jazz takes on Movie Bumblebee. While Movie Bumblebee is an upgrade from his G1 counterpart, he still wouldnt be a mtach for G1 Jazz, though it would might be a close one, since the way Movie Bumblebee took care of Barricade. G1 Prime would concentrate on Ironhide first since he would have been damaged more from his encounter with G1 Ironhide. Jazz jumps him somewhere in the battle when he is finished fighting off Movie Bumblebee but is stasis locked by Movie Rachet due to the damage he took in previous battles. G1 Prime is able to handle Ratchet more easily when Ironhide is out of the way.
In the end, G1 Prime will be the last one standing. He is just to good with his Ion Blaster, much stronger than the rest of the Movie Autobots and has better tactics and experience.

G1 Prime solos this.
Heck most of them could solo this.
They take shots from G1 Megatron who shots what amounts to black hole powered fused antimatter.

"Most" IMHO implies "over half" and since G1 Bumblebee and Ratchet aren't actually warriors I think you believe the rest are assured to solo the five Bay formers mentioned parts.
SSJVegeta Do you really think G1 Jazz or Ironhide could beat Movie Prime? He took a direct shot from movie Megs, is stronger, bigger, and at least as agile as G1 Jazz in mech mode.
G1 Megs only used the blackhole tapping blast once in the toon as it severely drains him to do it. His regular blast is powered by a nuclear fusion reaction. The less deadly blast was enough to kill Ironhide, and seriously hurt Prime. Considering how often he hit Starscream with it, I think he can adjust its lower power setting too.
_____
I can follow EvoPrime's reasoning a bit. I'm sure G1 Prime beats Movie Prime, while movie BumbleBee and Ratchet (relatively quickly) take down their G1 predecessors. The real fight starts with the outcome of the Jazzes and Ironhides. If Movie BB (or even Ratchet) assists Ironhide or Jazz it could ensure there win.
I'm thinking G1 Prime should have some damage after his fight with the faster Bay Prime, but I don't think it would be enough to let, at best, three damaged Bayformers get the better of him.

Agreed except for maybe Movie Jazz. I think G1 Jazz could pull out a victory!

AxiomScion: He killed Ironhide after an extensive battle when Ironhide was severely damaged at point black range.
Megatron's cannon shots fused antimatter all the time. IIRC I posted the actual toy box description for this a while back. The G1 Autobots and Decepticons take shots from him all the time.

Re: Movies Autobots vs their G1 equivalents
I don't have TF:TM handy, so i could be wrong, but I thought Ironhide was shot twice. Once in the chest and then finished by one in the head from Megs. Doesn't seem that extensive to me...SSJVegeta wrote:AxiomScion: He killed Ironhide after an extensive battle when Ironhide was severely damaged at point black range.

If Megs fires antimatter (all the time) like metroplex then I'ld have expected a lot more collateral damage on earth for every time he missed. If so many G1 TFs could take a hit from an antimatter weapon and survive, why would any of the other weaker weapons be effective?
Not that wiki is the best source for info but...
Wiki wrote:Megatron is very powerful and utterly ruthless. His imposing robot form is dominated by his primary weapon - his arm-mounted fusion cannon, capable of leveling a city block in one blast.[citation needed] He can also sub-dimensionally link the weapon to a black hole, generating even more powerful antimatter blasts (capable of destroying a small planetary body).[citation needed] However, this ability is almost never used, as it leaves him extremely weak and vulnerable.
Or maybe the TF wikia were I got my info from, but the more reliable TF universe online seems to dispute your claim as well.
Between the TF Wikia and TFU info it seems Megs can only acquire antimatter through his black hole link up which is very taxing on his systems. They each support the wiki statement above. This could be different than Movie Megs weapon; however, it does not address my initial question to you.
Previously I wrote:"Most" IMHO implies "over half" and since G1 Bumblebee and Ratchet aren't actually warriors I think you believe the rest are assured to solo the five Bay formers counter parts mentioned.

SSJVegeta If you really think G1 Jazz or Ironhide could solo the 5 Bayformers then I'ld think you'ld also believe G1 Jazz or Ironhide could solo Movie Megs were movie Prime could not. If that were the case then the debate of this versus match would prove a mute point.
