The Star Wars Toy Haul Thread
Hm, yep, Toy Fare listed the black-ops troopers as apart of the mystery pack as well.
Ah-well, more clones for my buck.
Also, Toy Fare shows a few new Jedi, The Dark Woman, and A'Sharad Hett, along with Mara Jade and Bultar Swan.
Huzzah, a couple new Jedi to add to my two-Jedi army. Now if only A'sharad comes with his tusken mask as well.

Is this in the new toyfare mag? The september issue? I must have too see.
Why Bultar Swan? Why not make Ferrus Olin instead?

Yep, the September issue, with Homer on the cover.
I looked again, A'Sharad and Dark Woman are apart of a comic pack. Bultar Swan comes with Koffi Arana for another comic pack.

LOL

I've got a few customs going at once, so it's dividing my time a little bit more than before. Not that I was working full-time on the other two. Well... the third one I'm not doing a whole figure yet so much as I'm doing his coat

I've bought a few more vintage pieces from auctions recently. Some are on the way... one that I'm particularly happy about is a vintage TIE Interceptor that I got for about $20! The auction title was mislabeled, so that's possibly why I got it for so cheap. From the pics, I only noticed the corner of one of the wing stickers torn off. The window looked nice and clear, and the seller says the electronics work just fine. Pics of that for sure when I get it... I always wanted a vintage Interceptor, even after I got the TRU exclusive a few years ago.

Anybody going for the SW USB drives? I got the Darth Vader one and it came preloaded with sound files, icons, avatars, wallpapers, and the trailers for all six movies, teaser and full. It's about 1GB but I don't know if that's good or not.

We think alike
I still need that green clone sgt though
Heres whats up with Star Wars at SDCC
With all the excitement around Celebration Europe, and the recent Force Unleashed trailer unveiling at E3, don't forget that Comic-Con International is next week! At a glance, here are some of the exciting things Star Wars fans can look forward to in San Diego:
Lucasfilm returns to the convention floor with a huge Star Wars you can't miss, complete with licensees, LucasArts, and Star Wars Shop, all celebrating 30 years of Star Wars and all that is to come
Official Pix will have autograph celebrities in the booth -- expect an update on the guest list soon, but we do know Dave Prowse (Darth Vader) will be there Thursday through Sunday and Matthew Wood (General Grievous) will be there Friday through Sunday.
There will be a display of select helmets from the Vader Project
Also in the pavilion, an autograph session (to be scheduled), with actors from the upcoming movie Fanboys
On Thursday, from 1:30 - 3:30 in Hall H, Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies will present a sneak peek at their upcoming films, including a special segment of the presentation dedicated to the new Indiana Jones movie
Friday is Star Wars Day, with Star Wars-themed panels throughout the day (see below).
Steve Sansweet, Head of Fan Relations, will present the major Lucasfilm piece on Friday from 5-6 pm in Hall H
Don't miss the Fanboys panel on Thursday featuring some of the talent from the forthcoming Star Wars-themed comedy. It's Thursday from 6-7 pm in Room 6 CDEF
Sunday is kids' day at Comic-Con, and Bonnie Burton, Tom Hodges, and Matt Busch will be teaching one of their great "How to Draw Star Wars" classes for kids on Sunday from 12:30 -- 1:30 in Room 30 CDE
Troy Alders of Lucas Licensing will be doing artist portfolio reviews on Sunday from 11am -- 2 pm in the portfolio review area.
Official Pix is hosting an Official Star Wars Fan Club breakfast Saturday morning from 6:30 -- 8:30 at the Marriott Hotel & Marina next door to the Convention Center.
And there's bound to more as fans gather to continue the year-long celebration of the saga's 30th anniversary. The souvenir program book for the show has a Star Wars cover by popular comic artist Adam Hughes, too. Look closely, and you might spot the key members of Lucasfilm's Fan Relations team lurking in the background of this great art piece.
Star Wars Day Schedule:
Friday
Great Star Wars Books and Book News (10:30-11:30am) Room 1AB
Join J.W. Rinzler, author of the recently-released The Making of Star Wars as he hurtles you back in time for a one-of-a-kind behind-the-scenes look at the nearly decade-long quest of George Lucas and his key collaborators to make the "little" movie that became a phenomenon. Stephen J. Sansweet, author of the upcoming The Star Wars Vault, will talk about collecting the amazing, never-before-published artifacts that will be part of each copy of the new book. Finally, Keith Clayton (Editor, Del Rey) will reveal an exclusive announcement on an upcoming Star Wars title from Del Rey and LucasBooks, just for audience members at Comic-Con!
What's New, and What's Coming at Hasbro (11:30am-12:30pm) Room 1AB
Come for first announcements about Hasbro's products that you might not hear anywhere else, plus a special sneak preview of the 2008 product line. Meet members of Hasbro's Star Wars marketing and design teams -- the talented people who work on the company's Attacktix, Titanium, and Star Wars action figure line. Question & Answer time included!
Star Wars: LucasArts (12:30 - 1:30pm) Room 1AB
Celebrate twenty-five years of LucasArts videogames and learn about the past, present, and future by attending this panel with key LucasArts producers. See what LucasArts has in store, then ask your own questions in a Q&A session.
Star Wars Robot Chicken Sets & Toys (1:30-2:30pm) Room 1AB
As Production Designer for the Robot Chicken: Star Wars Special, Jed Hathaway researched and designed each miniature set with exact replication and utmost detail. In this discussion, Hathaway will explain the basics of designing sets, props and vehicles for stop-motion animation. An in-depth behind the scenes video will show how his team brought the Star Wars universe to life, and show various comparisons between the special and the original Star Wars Saga. There will be a 20-minute presentation video followed by a question and answer session.
Star Wars at 30 Years with Steve Sansweet (5:00 -- 6:00 pm) Hall H
This summer marks the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars Saga, and its indelible influence on popular culture. We've got 30 years of great memories thanks to the galaxy far, far away, but there are also great things to come, too. Join Lucasfilm's Steve Sansweet for a little Star Wars nostalgia, a review of the 30th anniversary year so far, and a look at what's new and what's coming for Star Wars.
Star Wars Trivia (6:30-7:30pm) Room 1AB
Members of the San Diego Star Wars Society, veteran hosts of great Star Wars trivia game shows at Comic-Con International in 2004, 2005, and 2006 are planning another trivia challenge for all fans who think they know their stuff about the galaxy far, far away.

No worries. The important thing is that we're getting a good chunk o' clones.
Also, I hit up target today, saw a McChewie, and bought a couple 30th Stormtroopers.
The Troopers aren't bad, the helmets are a bit big, and one of the figures upper body is real loose.

Found a McChewie @ Wally today. This has been the hardest fig to find so far. I have 2 of each of the Mc figs except C3 & R2(only have 1).
I am ready for the next wave and the McVader.

Not to sound too whiny, but I can't even find the damned Jawa & LIN Droid, or the Luke with vaporator, let alone McBoba or McChewie. I've bought a few more troop builders, but I'd much rather find figures I don't already have.
Anyways. I've been buying lots of vintage Star Wars stuff lately. Mostly things I never had as a kid, and to that end, things I never got in the 90s when I started adding to my childhood collection. Unfortunately, all of that is gone now, along with the stuff I got in the 90s. The only survivors are a few of my brother's vintage figures.
Anyways, one of my best buys was snagging a vintage TIE Interceptor for $20. It was labelled as Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, so maybe that's why it went under the radar. (I was always under the impression that the Interceptor went for $30+... maybe I'm wrong?) The auction included a worn-out vintage Vader figure, whose head "someone chewed on." LOL.
It's in great shape, with a few exceptions. The stickers are mostly intact, even applied nicely and within their areas. The only damage not obvious from these pictures is the motor inside doesn't seem to work. The light does, though. The wings do tend to pop out without pressing the ejection buttons on the pylons. But I'm taking the whole thing apart, so I hope to fit that. I have an extra vintage Vader's TIE that will most likely donate its innards since I bought it for customizing anyway.
The ship's color is fine, although it looks so purply in some of these pics.
Following the Interceptor pics are some "customs" of Luke and Han in Stormtrooper disguises, along with the Luke and Han from the Saga Trash Compactor set for comparison. All I did was swap the heads of the comic pack figures with those of the recently released Stormtrooper with removable helmet. They basically all share the same body and helmet... which does not fit that Saga Han figure's head very well at all.

Wow we get Omega Squad, oh wait I made those already, damn hasbro.
WE FINALLY get a white repub commando, and still no articulation just a stupid non painted one from the commando set, yeah laziness hasbro.
I see were getting new 501st figs from the books. In the book by Tim Zahn called Survivors quest, were told of the 501st being recloned and some of them being aliens. So thats cool.
Some of the new battle packs are sweet.
I like the jango, but the padme blows.
Wolf jedi is supposed to be in black outfit and a darker brown in fur color.
For Christ sakes couldnt they paint the repainted naboo solider right. If you look at his neck line its still yellow, and you can see yellow through the red. Christ aren't they paying those sweat shop employees enough.
Why is the boba fett a walsuck exclusive. Ill never see that....yeah hasblow.
The tie-bomber is sweet!
The arc 170 squad is awesome!
Sweet a tie advanced, that will be purchased for sure.
We despite the stupidnesses that hasbro constantly excretes. Im happy with whats up coming for the most part.
