I dont think Ive ever seen a better looking image for Optimus. How heroic this portrays Optimus, with the American flag waving in the background. Very patriotic. I always thought Optimus was designed in an American patriotic deco with his red, white, and blue color scheme. Kind of like Captain America or so.

I feel that the American flag doesn't belong there, yes his colors are red/white/blue but USA isn't the only country with it, Iceland, Norway, UK and Russia and so on have it also. He is a cybertronian so an cybertronian banner or an autobot banner would been looking better.

Well, I guess I see your point. But I don't believe those other countries celebrate our Independence Day, Thanksgiving or President's day. This Calender is almost certainly intended for American's. Although there is no proof that these Holidays are marked in the calender, I'm willing to wager that they are. Plus, outside of MAYBE Japan, Transformers are not near as popular as they are in the States. But, in the G1 cartoon and in the new movies, the Autobots land in America and works with the American people and government. So.....seems appropriate to me.

looking at the price and shape, this looks to be those cheap calendars you can find anywhere (often in music stores) so i'll just wait til its in stores. i have another from a few years ago with IDW or maybe dreamwave art but yeah...should be fun.

as for the flag issues...its an american product so whats the surprise or big deal? plus it would look lame with any other flag there anyway. and as someone else said, the show and comics and movies all take place in america so.
