Anyway, I'm not sure how my post was confusing (as your images would seem to indicate). I don't care how the combiners scale with one another and I like them to be large and do not understand the fascination/obsession some collectors and companies seem to have with retaining a scale consistent with Transformers Energon just because one company did one add-on set for a combiner in that scale which was composed of 5 scout sized bots.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I am that which is, which was, and is yet to come.
And you will know my name is MEGATRON when I lay my vengeance upon you!

I agree with what you are saying about the scout sized combiners, too much is compromised and they aren't all that much taller than the Voyager and Ultra figures. That said, I personally would like the gestalts to be of a similar size. A head taller or shorter here or there isn't the end of the world, but if every company that releases a gestalt makes it a head taller than the last one that was a head taller, where does it end?
If these guys fix the arms on Warbotron then I'll most likely have to get him, but not way I can justify that level of piss poor engineering on such a big and (presumably) expensive toy.

Yeah, I posted on the same day the site was have a seizure.

Anyway, I guess I just misinterpreted your post. It sounded like you didn't care how they're sized up, but then backpedaled to say you preferred bigger combiners to smaller ones. I was also dead tired when I posted that, but I follow you a bit better now. Maintaining the Transformers Energon scout size does seem like an issue sometimes.
Scale is just so hard to to find a happy medium when it comes to Transformers. Both in the cartoon and in vintage figures. However, I can't help but appreciate the size scale we get from FP and Maketoys over TFC. Not because I feel what TFC (or any other 3rd that prefers to engineer bigger gestalts) brings to the table isn't great in its own right, but because it's a little easier to have them stand side by side the CHUG figures we get from HasTak.
It just rustles my jimmies to no end when I see, for example, the TFC Not-Constructicons tower over Classics Grimlock. Granted, that's a pretty loose example, but I think you can see where I'm coming from with that.
With all that said, these guys are fantastically engineered and whoever the group is behind this massive beast has truly brought something awe inspiring to the table for us collectors. Yet, I just wouldn't be able to look at my collection without wincing if I saw my Classics Starscream at crotch-level with Onslaught.

That would be hilarious if they make exactly 5000 pieces (or whatever number) of each member. haha I wonder if that's really what they do...... I would buy an extra Swindle =X

Who knows, maybe MMC will come out and compete with these guys (I would LOVE to see that, actually).

They did? All I saw was someone saying this:
Jason Watson: I believe from what they've been saying it will be individual bot releases....but hopefully by October we will know something for sure
We do have this:
WB-01 is one of combiner form Warbotron team, finnal product preorder will be on Nov. and we will release more information at that moment.

Oh OK, I read that over at tfw, so it might have been Watson (and I misinterpreted what he said due to being sleepy), or someone misquoting him.

There is talk that WB01 is going to be 17.8 inches tall!
Not sure if that is overall height (measured to his overly high shoulders) or to his head. Either way, if that measurement is true, he will be an automatic pass. No way in hell I'm buying a gestalt that dwarfs Herc, Uranos, and more importantly, Genesis! Especially when they couldn't even get the arms right
Looking more and more like Microblaze Creations MBC002 is my only hope for a decent (for me) Bruticus.

Agreed.
At nearly 18 inches, might as well pass on 3rd Party and wait for MP combiners, which is way down the road (if they show up at all).

Too small, needs to be about 20 inches to fit into my MP collection. I'll wait for the official MP version.

Yeah, this doesn't fit with Classics or MP, which makes it an easy decision.megatronus wrote:Agreed.

Even if it was the right height, it still wouldn't fit because it isn't show accurate.Dead Metal wrote:Too small, needs to be about 20 inches to fit into my MP collection. I'll wait for the official MP version.

The bigger they make these 3rd party combiners,The more money they cost. I just don't feel comfortable spending over $700 to buy this toy.

Considering he's composed of a bunch of military vehicles (and a frickin' space shuttle
) I can live with him being the largest of all the combiners, though it would be nice if he were around the same size as Uranos/Superion.
I'm pretty sure I'm still gonna buy this set either way, though it would be nice if they could do something about those lame FP combiner arms.

In the right thread now.

Alt mode looks a little gappy to me. For the size, I'd expect it to be better...
(Fairness in criticality: I love FP's take, so I would likely be more critical of this set. Just saying. *whistles*)
