Maybe for the next movie, I doubt it for this one. Actually I recall someone on the Hasbro panel (or maybe it was the tour) saying that they didn't even know about the sword until after they saw the movie. They said "why didn't you tell us about that? We would have put it into the toy!" Can anybody back me up on this?

aww geez! that was some bad communication there. it wouldve been really cool to see him with an energy sword.... but since they were willing to put it into the toy only if they knew about it, i really hope that they release a prime with bonecrusher gutting action.

Geekee1 is right. The Energy sword was put in after the toy was done. We will be getting a Robot Heroes version with the sword though.

That would have been an easy thing to do and a cool option for the toy. Could have made it light up too like the hand on Armada and Energon Unicrons.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

Good point Feat. Wouldn't be hard to make it like the gun for Leader Class Prime. From what I've heard on these boards, the gun is detachable. So you just pop it on. Works in my eyes.

You'd only need an axe with a notch to attach it to the swivel arm where his gun currently is. should be an eassy job to mod it yourself. smart thinking.

Is that even supposed to be a blade made out of energy for the sword. It always looked like a super hot piece of metal for the blade to me. You can even see the gradient of super red hot metal tapering off to grayish metal at the top.
