Butt ugly face, eyes are a bit strange, just like the in movie, and yes I hope you can remove the "backpack", but it's alright. Its seems to pose quiet nicely. I don't see the flames too much, which is ok in my book.
I do hate the movie designs, but I'll buy Prime for sure.

Lots of primes with this line, aren't there? I could get voyager class though; it's a much better figure than the leader class version is.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

so these are smaller versions of the actual toy like how they had deluxe versions of armada prime? not the fast action battlers

I like this Voyager Prime alot more than the Leader Prime figure. I think with some adjustments to the paint apps it can be a great figure. Either they do that or I do that

Something like that. They want to make Prime available in every price point so they make different toys for each price point.
However The transformation for Bendy Prime was almost exactly like that of the larger Prime.
In this case, Movie Voyager sized Prime has a slightly different transformation (reason why the cab is hanging from the back) than Leader class Optimus. This guy also does not have lights and sounds. However Leader Class Prime doesn't have the Cullen cowboy driver.
Leader class Prime rear view (no cab hanging from the back).

They are really different except in what they transform into.

Well this finalized it for me. The Leader Class Prime is the definite winner in my book.
That backpack of his is too much. I realize the LC version has one as well, but that's just shellformer-iffic.

A long time ago, someone who I forget wrote "I bet all those fine details on the movie bots are just going to get etched on the usual block style toys"
Who ever you are, good call!
I can't say I'm suprized you're right. It's just you called it first, and it's stuck with me as so many of the movie toys proved your point. This Optimus is no differnt.
That don't mean I don't like him though!
Outside of needing some paint, I like the smoke stacks, I didn't at first, but seeing them with the ability to mount on the shoulders realy makes me like them.
However it does bring up the fact that I wish he had a third gun, simple reason, it would look cooler.
To qoute Energon Optimus, "you can never have to many weapons"

For being a cheater, this does a really good job of capturing movie Prime's robo-self. I'm not a fan of the paint job or the fact that his waist articulation looks "meh" at best.

Wow, just wow. I am going to be getting both versions of Prime, but this version is by far my favorite. That thing just kicks so much. I am definetly looking forward to the entire toy line, especially this figure.

One more thing, I hope they make a Megatron with a tiny Welker, so I can make the two fight then find whatever figures I can of past charecters they voiced and have them all beat it out.
Have Curious George beat up on Volton's castle and everything!
I don't think Ol' Pete vs Dr. Archevil would be a very good match, and thats all I'd have without Welker.
No offense to Hugo.

Well, chalk up a win in the movie figures column for this skeptical fan... I don't mind the backpack at all, and think the figure looks great. I'll be getting one.

his hands and arms look burnt and emaciated...other than that, i think the design is pretty sleek. it's a tall and young looking prime.

I'm really not a fan of that backpack, but like someone else already said, since it is pretty much the entire front of the truck, maybe it can be kitbashed off to give a more traditional truck mode too...

Loos good, but where's the paint? If this is the final product, it's really under-painted.
I mean, I remember reading that the reasoning behind those ugly flames was to put more red and blue contrast in Prime's upper body, but with this figure he's like 80% grey with a little red here and there on his chest.
If they ruin Prime with flames only to underpaint his robot mode... then what the hell was the point of the flames in the first place?
