AAARHG! Each of those 2 packs comes with a guy I want, and a guy I have. Fiddle sticks!
I have the Korean release of Leo Convoy and BW2 Galavatron, as well as some Microman stuff. They are just as good of quality as the Japanese versions. Go scope those up fellas. They are worth it.

We will always find ways to be friends but Optimus Minor is my most hated childhood toy (and he will be on a list you wish he wasnt on). He came free in some toy bag these old ladies dropped off at my house once since they knew my mom had three boys. The bag also had some loose pieces and limbs and I thought he was incomplete at first. I couldnt beleive this was a TF since I didnt get how they could consider it a transformation. It's a monkey that turns into a monkey with a different head. The only thing convicing me otherwise was his fraction symbol.
But those old ladies were pretty cool as they had privously dropped off some other lots, with my favourite one being the following 3 figures: BW Cheetor, Cybershark and Grimlock (Dinobot). That was one of the best days ever.

Yeah, I could see my personal opinion influenced by the hype machine somewhat. The scythe hands aren't that big a deal to me though. It gives him a unique look, like Scyther and Kabutops:

Or Gigan:
Though barely legs? Though not overly articulate, he has four legs one way and just lacks knees the other.
So while I'm not singing endless praises, I am surprised to see dislike.

Scarem's death scythe hands is what sells him to me. I like his colors and chrome too. Man, I pretty much like all the basic class. There are alot I don't have, including Minor. This thread is tempting me to try and dig up some of the ones I'm missing. Especially some of the smaller dinosaurs.
EDIT: Will! If you don't order that 2pack with Longrack and Guiledart, I'm gonna fly to Canada just punch you in the neck.

maybe i was doing it wrong. those two rear bug legs go together (solidly?) to make the bot legs. is movement in the knee ball joint compromised? i recall something like that msking me bummed about the figure.
and WJ,
i know minor is a freaky lil dude so its ok

if memory serves me, i know i didnt initially like him. but he grew on me.

Alright alright, it's been bought. I'm using my TAV Deluxe Nemesis Prime budget for it, so if that figure turns out to be amazing, you are getting the neck punch.

Re: Best Beast Wars toys ?
When I set out collecting as an adult I decided to complete my collection of the Beast Wars Transmetals. I had a Rattrap, Rhinox, Megatron and Waspinator as a child but had Rattrap stolen by a cousin. They've always held a special spot in my collection because they were the toys out and the show on TV when I was getting into Transformers. it's taken a few years but I've got them all 100% complete now

I found a MOSC Scavenger, Airrazor and Terrorsaur at a record/collectables store for $10 each. I found a loose 100% comple Optimus at the same store for $5 as well as a Rampage missing his rifle, two legs and missles for $6. I've since found his missing parts online. I found 2 Tarantulas' at a thrift store and cobbled together a full figure out of the parts. Every other one I found online and completed the collection.

Yep, the knee articulation is compromised. Quadraped mode's cooler anyway, cause outside of ROTF Rampage and DOTM Devcon (that's his name...no figure either http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Devcon_(DOTM), I don' think there are any others officially.

I'm baaaaaAAAAAAccckkkk..
And it's time for Transmetal 2's!
Dinobot
I loved it when Blackarachnea nicknamed him "skullface" in the show, because damn is it suitable. He looks like if you touched him anywhere, you would end up bleeding. He pulls off the proportions of his raptor mode much better than the original. And his robot mode is full of claws, which with some simple modding (cutting off one hose thingy) makes him able to make a fist (almost) and pull off a wolverine kinda look. Best. Dinobot. Ever. Maybe for BW's next anniversary we'll get a puuurrfect show accurate repaint. One can dream *sigh*.

Spittor
Don't you love the lil ogre robot mode he has? And i could talk about how posable he is, but what BW figure isn't? Beast mode knocks it out of the park as well, even though I'm pretty sure frogs don't have shark teeth or scorpion tails
Also, depending on which flavor you prefer he comes in blueberry and raspberry!

Optimus Minor
I might get some criticism over this one, but controversy stirs up conversation no? You could rag on his upside down transformation, but its very acrobatic which is quite fitting for a monkey AMIRIGHT? Those split apart hands are kind of wasted on me though, i don't get it. But i really enjoyed seeing him (and every other non-show character) in the IDW comics.

Jawbreaker
This thing is what nightmares are made of. He looks like he could tear Rampage limb from limb! *shudder* He is just covered from head to toe in patches of hair, metal, and sharp things. Just... everything. The sculpting, the color choices and paint apps, he's a (terrifying) beauty.

Ramulus
A glorious, powerful, majestic ram. Says "kick-ass" to me. I'm a little bummed that the beast head can't move, and the horns are kind of an awkward weapon in bot mode. But he's a ram! That makes up for everything. And odd weapon be damned, his bot mode rocks. Those fisty claws he's got give him a real brawler vibe. Anyone want him in Batman colors?

Tripredacus Agent
I love me some Ravage, but i don't actually use him for that. Cheetor's first *shadowy* TM2 appearance was in "Feral Scream", and while i can't say for certain - i think they actually rendered his colors differently for this scene. This figure is my "feral" TM2 Cheetor. Oh yeah, by the way this is a good toy.

Scourge
Another terrifying TM2 creature. He's a locust! That's biblical man! And Scourge is the perfect name for a locust. SCOOOUUUURGGGEE. But I digress. Missile/melee weapons are always welcome, and his wing holsters have has an incredibly nice 3D effect. Also, orange isn't used enough, and chrome orange is used... never. So bask in his warm orangy glow!

Cybershark
Sure his shark mode is stuck in that perma-pose, but it is ferocious. Anyone else crossing their fingers for a Cybershark repaint of Generations Skybyte? Of the two molds I still say the OG here has the superior bot mode, but they both have their strong suits. Might I also say, he has the kind of kibble I like.

So where do we venture next? Beast Machines perhaps?

2. Archery
If i can bring the two together it's like
P.S. I would never ever ever shoot arrows AT my TFs

I was thinking the other day, in regards to this thread, if someone asked me where a good place is to start collecting Beast Wars. I'd say run yer buns over to Target and grab Gen. Rhinox and Rat Trap. They're great, and affordable.
