Dumb Question Alert!!! Counterpunch's hands
- Motto: "My banjo is everything; defeat is ukelele"
Hi all, I am having some trouble figuring out how to get TFCC Counterpunch's hands to be the right way round in both robot modes. Do I have to physically swap the fists over? Or am I missing something obvious?

The fists are only going to be in their correct position (thumb on top) in one of the two robot modes, due to the figure's torso and arms needing to turn back to front when changing him from Punch to Counterpunch.
You can physically swap over the fists, but do it too often and they will become loose or the plastic will break.

I'm so meta, even this acronym...

Re: Dumb Question Alert!!! Counterpunch's hands
It's not an ideal situation... the toy is alright, but I'm sure the backwards hands spoiled it for many.
You could try sculpting a thumb on the other side... Or sanding off the existing thumb to leave an ambiguous fist. Or even sanding off the normal thumb and sculpting a thumblike protrusion in the middle, like Energon Optimus Prime.
Heck, maybe give him new hands altogether. Gundam hands are good, and about the right size (going by what I have on my desk, 1/144 should work). Modify the joint so you can swap out whole sets - open hand, clenched fist and so on, coloured for each identity.
Funny story time - I have a Targetmaster Quickmix with two left hands. I only discovered this some years after acquiring the toy.
This did not happen from the factory. Examining closely, I could see that the previous owner cut off Quickmix's right hand, quite precisely, and replaced it with a left from another Quickmix, also removed in a surgical fashion.
Why? Was the hand cracked or damaged? If he had another Quickmix to dissect, why not take the correct hand? Why not take the ARM, even? It screws on and off, whereas the hand had to be glued back on. A mystery, it is.

Thanks for the reply guys
well, that sucks. Now I don't feel so bad about buying the KO of him. I guess i'll swap them around. That mystery handswap story made me chuckle
