I think that the current (IDW) incarnation of Springer would totally own Energon Scorponok.

Motto: "Follow your instincts and your common sense."

Springer is a helicopter and car while Scorponok is a jet and mecha-scorpion. Looking at the tech specs, Scorponok wins on skill and firepower. Springer can still win if he uses that sword decisively and if his 'tornado gun' can make jet Scorponok crash. Otherwise, this is looking like a Decepticon victory.
