CA-04 looks like it could be Fansproject's version of an Allicon... The head matches and that could possibly be a tail sticking straight up behind its head... I know the insect arm looking things over the shoulders doesn't fit though...

If they aren't combiners then I'm hoping it's their take on the Insecticons. Didn't FP say at one of the cons that they aren't going to be doing a Devy set since another 3rd party already had something in the works? If that's the case I would assume the 3rd party they were referring to is the TFclub set that we've seen the Scavenger prototype of.

I know Fansproject is planning that complete made up set the Glacial bots, and maybe that's crossfire 03 who knows besides Fansproject????
The Crossfire series wasn't made to be all combiners. Specifically, its purpose was to release projects made by other designers, while Parallax is for their main designer. As the new teaser image for Causality says, this is a new series, and does not end the original Crossfire series. Its just a spinoff. I would say, Causality is for stand alone figures now, and the main Crossfire series is for combiner related figures and such.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Man I hope those are Insecticons!

If they indeed do not combine, I will have to pass on these. FP does great work, but I only have a budget for TFs that really stand out.

If they don't combine maybe they're TFs that I'd actually care about.
I can't say i care at all about these two. But there's some promise shown in the shadowed figures.

Lol, I know I shouldn't bother, but.... the News Crew at Seibertron couldn't have done any more research than this at the time it was posted, as there was no additional information available. FP don't tend to reply to emails, so it's not like they could contact them directly. The news guys are working for free to get TF news to us and give something to the fandom. What are you doing?
Secondly FP have not provided any schedule for their figures after Protector as far as I can recall. They announce plans for new figures and they have just about 'lost you completely'?. Wow, they sure are a bunch of bastards. When will the injustice end?

Back on topic, I'm glad they won't combine, it means that they won't be in limb mode forever and allows me to display them in their awesome bot modes. I was debating getting a second Munitioner/Explorer for this purpose but couldn't justify it - but with new character retools I'm all for it now.

........umm, they're giving us three new molds. They need to reuse those existing molds to generate revenue.

Totally Agreed. It saddened me that the awesmoneness that was Munitioner and Explorer are forever trapped in limb mode. Not I'm extatic that their robot modes will see the light of day.

Re: FansProject Causality 2011
these not combining has peaked my interest further. it means I won't "need" to complete the set if there's one or two I don't fancy, for starters. I don't have Bruticus, and wasn't keen on trying to find one for the other limbs and torso, so didn't get the Munitioner or Expolinationer, despite them looking like some of the coolest TFs I've seen in a while. Not entirely sold on red-Swindle, but the idea of the Blast-Off repaint being that little Micromaster guy who I loved makes me want that a bit more than I did. Still hope for an Insecticon, but I really like DavidTs idea of an Allicon as well.
edit: sometimes I look at the Tech Specs a poster has given and think they've been wildly overpowered to Rapido levels.

CA 04.....the only transformer from G1 i've ever seen with claws remotely like that would be Repugnus. With all that kibble behind his head there it looks like the robot mode of G1 Repugnus who has the bug head folded back with the pincers sticking up like that.
I'm just dreaming of course.....i can dream can't i? I did ask FP a year ago to make the Monsterbots.

That's the theory that I think holds the most weight at the moment. I'm just wondering what the spike sticking up from the middle of his back is, if it is Repugnus?
But CA-03 could well be Grotusque. The think sticking out behind his shoulder looks like it could be one of his wings. The wrist blades would work quite well as monster-mode claws too.
I don't see anything in CA-05 that screams Doublecross, but then again, it's just a silhouette. If we just had a silhouette of the Explorer/Flameblast mould I wouldn't be able to guess who that was or even what the alt mode was.
So yeah, I reckon the Monsterbots are a pretty good candidate so far - which would be all kinds of awesome. I love those guys (I remember staring at them in the catalogue for ages when I was a kid) and only just added the last of them to my G1 collection (though I still need Doublecross' gun).

Wow, not even a day old and this threads at 7 pages already.
Well, I don't know where the rumors for this not being a combiner came from, but I really do think it is.
1: It's a five bot team, so naturally one thinks of the combiners teams. Then there's the fact that these two bot are repaints, with some slight tweaks.
2: While the pegs have been remove from Warcry's knees, it is, after all, just promotional art, or box art, so it may just be FP wanting the toy to look it's best.
3: There is certainly less combiner bits shown with these two then there are with the Muntioner and Explorer, you have to remember that they were coming packed with the extra parts for the whole team. This time around FP is not upgrading three existing designs, they're making them from scratch. I really do look forward in seeing how the rest of the team stores their combiner kibble/bits, and what new weapons they come with.
So with the combiner kibble being split among five figures instead of two, I'm hoping Warcry and Flameblast will be cheaper than their Bruticus counterparts.

Good points, but:
1. They homage Micromaster characters that aren't combiners (well, Fireshot is kinda, but a different type of combiner).
2. Venksta, who works with FP, says they're not combiners.
Point number 2 is really all that's required to put that rumour to rest.

Well, that's a bummer, cause I can't say no to another high-quality combiner. This on the other hand puts me on the fence. Shame though, just think what FP can do with a whole combiner made from the scratch.

Fansproject continue to outdo themselves. Superb.
Why don't Takara Tomy or Hasbro hire these guys as a special project team or something?
I wonder which character they'll tackle next?

Hmm, not combiners you say? I'm more interested. If these turn out to be Insecticons, I'm really going to kick myself for not picking up the reissues.
If not...I might be able to pass. I guess we'll find out.
It makes me happy that they fixed their spelling mistake.
