The Optimus in my collection is the WFC Optimus... not a prime, and shorter than quite a few fellow autobots, but I don't mind if Ironhide is bigger, Optimus then takes on the role of a wise commander, with skills that don't necessarily require mass, leaving Ironhide to look like one tough badass SOB compared to the rest. Fitting.

Only if we can agree to stop using CHUG as well.
That is my fondest wish, alas, it seems we can only dream of such a world.
In another thread I suggested making CHUG a banned word on the boards, much like a few other four letter words. Maybe I should start a thread petitioning for it?
I'd sign it.
Seconded.
Me three.
Wanted:
Botcon 2010 Scorch
Cybertron Cannonball
25th anniversary Insecticons
Lots of stuff for trade, PM me if interested.

United and Reveal the Shield have necessitated it being extended to CHUGUR anyway.
For that matter, I've never met anyone who actually likes the term "Seeker", and I don't like it either, but wherever there's a niche in the language that needs filling, slag happens. Even if we all agreed to say "Classics", we're technically referring to TWO dead TF sub-lines.

Sold. Ironride is a little big next to classics Prime, but will look fantastic with either Faith Leader or MP-10, and with the rest of the G1-Redux figures (though I'd like to see some vehicle-mode size comparisons as well).

Nice.. I wonder what kind of price tag these will have on them..
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Re: iGear PP05 Ironhide?
wow if they are 80.00 each ill buy them for sure i dont classics but henkie ironhide i do only for paintjob but voyager size seems to be fair for classics series the both of characters seem right to be right in voyager class seems right to me for the 2 of them.
my big concern is where do all weapons go feels like gijoe figure with all weapons but no where to put them all on figure itself but buy for me if price is right

Well, looks like the 3rp party companies know when to strike with the product. Good very good.
I'm not going to diss Hasbro but why couldn't they have done this for the Universe versions.
While I love me Henkei Ironhide and ratchet, what always concerned me is that they transform so backwards, and the head thing where the heads can't tilt up straight...always leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
I-gear has finally got it right. I'm not going to get into the whole third party vs. Hasbro vs. Takara because in the end it comes down to where and how I want to spend my money, and I want to spend my money on these guys.

Which was?
Around 100 - 120 each. But this is an estimation. I hope there is more info at BotCon this weekend.

If the people making these are the same as the people who made the iGear Arcee, 100-120 would be a very decent price for Voyager/Masterpiece Ironhide and Ratchet. Arcee is a very well designed and built toy.

ae_productions wrote:[b]Hasbro makes lot of toys I want too. These toys are filler between movie toys. Recently, Hasbro made a phenomenal Classics 3.0 line. But good luck finding any of them. Most fans were in the same boat about the poor distribution. Instead of selling these on their websites to make them available to fans, Hasbro chose to ship them overseas to make extra $$ because of the weak US Dollar. This is a business, and that was a business choice, but they then turned around and complained about not making money and taking huge quarterly losses. They also keep noting that Classics toys do not sell well. The toys were made, and are sitting in warehouses. Why not make them available to fans, cut out the middle man (TRU, Walmart, KMart, ect), make some extra $ and make the fans happy? To add insult to injury, there were several of the highly sought after toys that did NOT get USA distribution (Frenzy, Rumble, Windcharger.)
The reason they shipped the RTS/Gen to overseas instead of US to make more money was due to them loosing money on the US market, they stated that they lost money during the previous quarter before the final wave of RTS Gnerations where officially released anywhere. And Classics sell less due to not having a movie or Cartoon to support them, they exist solemnly for collectors.
If history follows suit pertaining to the original TFTM and ROTF toy lines, we are in a long 2 - 3 year drought of nothing but movie toys. That's great news for movie enthusiasts. However, if you collect other lines, you will probably be screwed for a while. Which is why it's nice that companies like iGear, Fansproject, Perfect Effect, TFC, head robots and others are picking up the ball and keeping the fandom in play.
If history follows suit with DOTM, this year will be mostly movie toys, with a few classics figures near the end of the year, and more Classics figures next year alongside movie and Prime figures.

I think IGear's Ironhide/Ratchet mould looks awesome. I really wish it was smaller to be in better scale with the Classics Autobot cars, but that is not enough to turn me off, after all the Classics seekers are freaking tiny!
The one thing that has me worried structure-wise is the fragile looking assembly on the inside of the legs. I would not preorder this because of that, better to see a video review first, no way am I forking out 3rd party type money for something that will smash the first time I transform it! (I made that mistake with MP Megatron)

There's something logical about this, but I can't wrap my head around Ironhide being taller than guys like Sunstreaker.

Your logic makes sense if everything you are stating is true regarding hasbro's profits and toy distributino. I guess we will know the answer pretty soon at BotCon. I love the figures and hope the 3rd parties keep ramping things like this out.

Same here. Only thing that worries me is the rumoured scale of these two being voyagers instead of deluxes. I'm hoping for deluxe-sized to fit in with the rest of the G1-Classics line.

I thought these were gonna be closer to voyager size for some reason. They appear to be deluxe size when pictured next to that Not-Viewfinder... Guess they'll fit in with Classics better.

These do look sweet, but I wouldn't be opposed to someone coming along, stealing the design, and scaling them down an inch or two... Even better if it were HasTak themselves.
Good point...if that's the case, never mind comment above.

I for one, really hope they don't cost that much but have to agree about Arcee. It hurt my budget to get her but I don't regret it now that I have her on my shelf. Hopefully these will run around $80 tops, but I'd be willing to spend the extra bucks if they are as good as they seem. I don't regret a single Henkei purchase. My issue is having to justify making ends meet elsewhere to buy peices of plastic.

Love the pictures. I hope the plastic is top grade and solid feeling. It would suck if they are as thin as the cassette drones.
