Here's a few questions for you guys: what do the wave 1/2/3 classifications mean? Are they just to specify a certain series of releases? Which figures fall under which wave?

Yep, Waves indicate the order of release. If I'm not mistaken, Wave I Deluxes are Bumblebee [Classic Camaro], Barricade, Jazz, Wreckage, Scorponok, and Brawl, Wave 2 includes Swindle and Bonecrusher, and Wave 3 is Arcee, new Bumblebee and Dreadwing.

I'm probably wrong, though...

Hah, thanks guys. She seems to be in a better mood now, so it's all good. I've set a budget anyway, I don't think she'd protest too much.

Notorious, she hides your Softimus? Because she doesn't want people seeing or something? Or maybe she wants it... I bought a Softimus for my girlfriend and she loves him.

I really want that Thundercracker release. Hope we get it here.

Nope, you're right. Some consider the protoform figures wave 1, which makes the waves you've listed above waves 2, 3, and 4. I use your wave numbering scheme, and also include the following:

Wave 1: Voyager Blackout, Voyager Ratchet, Leader Prime
Wave 2: Voyager Starscream, Voyager Ironhide, Leader Megatron
Wave 3: Voyager Prime, Voyager Megatron

Interestingly, there doesn't seem to be a Leader-class figure in Wave 3. (Green Brawl is in Wave 4.)
