NFL Thread 2009!!
Re: NFL Thread 2009!!
San Diego without a doubt is looking like one of the strongest teams goin into the playoff, of course you have the colts but they have been vulnerable at times and had a fair amount of lick in a few wins, not saying San Diego hasnt had a little bit but they have come on fast and strong when it counts, I just hope they can keep it up.
The last time San Diego went all the way to the bowl it was in Miami too, so heres hoping that holds up.

How about them Cowboys?!
OK, seriously, what are your picks for the AFC and NFC title games and the Super Bowl?
Also, small tidbit, this will be the 44th Super Bowl, with the 44th president sitting in office.

Championship games? Hmmm...I think only the NFC has the teams set but no seedings yet soo I really can't say for sure. However, right now I'd have to lean towards the Saints and the Chargers...but ONLY if the Saints pull it together somehow and start playing like they mean it again. I will bet on Chargers Colts in the AFC title game though...
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

What the hell just happened?
OK, the first half was amazing: that's what the Bears and Cutler can do when you have an actual offensive line doing its job. The second half is what happens when your coach (a defensive "guru") falls in love with his pet Tampa 2 defense. Hell, it was so bad even I could read the defense! Despite the win, I still look forward to a Lovie-free sideline next year- hopefully.
...I still can't believe the Bears won...

I am now convinced that the winner of the Super Bowl will be from the AFC and it will either be the COlts or the Chargers.

If its the Colts, then this will officially be the worst NFL season in a long time. Excluding the Browns beating the Steelers, that was pretty frikkin sweet.

Colts seem like they have too many injuries at key positions in the defense right now so I supposed I'll be leaning towards the Chargers...which would be their first Lombardi trophy and is something I can be cool with. I like it when teams win their first championships...even if it is a Norv Turner coached team...

They announced on the local news that for the 1st playoff game all the injured Saints will be healthy and playing..

Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Agreed. I've missed what injuries they've had though...as bad as Indy?

Yeah, that is one reason for their sloppy playing recently. Lots of key players injured on all squads.

Trust me bro, if you were in the area around game time you wouldn't have been able to avoid hearing it. It was almost like the Browns won the super bowl

Well, considering that the Browns haven't beaten the squealers since 2003, I'd say it's damn close.
...and they are also out of the playoffs! YES! Go Jets and Ravens! (Nowhere, probably...)
And what about Holmgren coming to Cleveland? Might he be able to fix the franchise?

First round of the playoffs are out and ready. Here's my take:
Baltimore at New England- I pick Baltimore; the loss of Wes Welker to ACL/MCL injuries is the biggest hit to any playoff team in the league. Without him, Baltimore will be able to double team Randy Moss and effectively bottle up their offense. 13-9 Baltimore.
NY Jets at Cincinnati- Bengals will mop up on the Jets. Sanchez will have a Jay Cutler day and throw 3 pics. I suspect a low scoring game...nothing concrete, just a hunch. 17-13 Bengals.
Philadelphia at Dallas- I expect a choke job from the Jerrysboys as usual. Philly is as erratic a team as I've seen in a long time and their pattern seems to be one bad week and one good week alternating, and they are due for a good game. Philly 30-17
Green Bay at Arizona- As much as I hate to say it, the Packers are going to win this one. Arizona is very erratic at home, being much more effective on the road. Green Bay has thrashed their last couple of opponents and their secondary is as hot as any in the league. I'll wager on Kurt Warner throwing 4 picks and fumbling once. Green Bay 31-10.

I'll go with that.

Not so sure. The Bengals got it together, but don't count the Jets out. I am also leaning towards the Bengals, simply because of the experience on the offense, but it'll be a good game, score probably in the 20s for the winner.

Well, you speak with logic, but I am gonna go in the opposite direction because of passion. I think McNabb is the most overrated player in a LONG time, and I simply HATE Michael Vick. I hope the Cowboys not only win the game but make sure at least Vick has a real poopy offseason. F**ker.

So much parity in this league. Oh well, they'll all just get stomped on by Indy and New Orleans - XD.
