It's the trigger that turns the light on. It has a small geared portion that gets moved when you push the back to flip the blades out. If you press the end that you see in your pic the light will go on. HTH.

Ah, thanks. It kind of looks like it comes out so I thought maybe the weapon had some hidden feature. I'm glad I didn't try to pull it out!
OK, follow-up question: Is there any way to lock the weapon in blade mode, like you could with Voyager MechTech weapons, or would I have to remove a spring like with Deluxe MechTech weapons?

You can't "lock' them in place, but they do pivot on their axis indepent of the gear, so by manually rotating them into proper position you can sort of make it look remotely right.GuyIncognito wrote:Is there any way to lock the weapon in blade mode, like you could with Voyager MechTech weapons, or would I have to remove a spring like with Deluxe MechTech weapons?
I removed them with my trusty scredriver. I hope a third party comes to the rescue by making Voyager Megs a decent weapon, or that the Micron from the Takara's Arms Micron deluxe version is bulky enough to work with the voyager.
Have I mentioned lately that the fragmentation of merchandise for Prime makes me want to hit things?

Just hold the switch back, and flip the blades out. Not damaging anything, as the blades are held to the gears by friction alone. (Opened to check).

Ah, cool! I would have been afraid to try that for fear I'd break it. Thanks for being the guinea pig.
As I side note about this figure, I like the clear purple plastic in his torso and arms. When the light hits it right it looks like he's glowing inside. Pretty cool.

yep, picked him up earlier in the week. currently sitting in front of my window with his sword out and PCC Sledge's Mini-Con on his left arm, looking very cool when the light comes through and illuminates all his translucent plastic.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.
