Don't be! I want both Liger and Sphinx, but there's stuff I have to buy and impulse buys that have been preventing me from doing so. That, and while he doesn't seem like a TT shoein, I do have some faith.Ironhidensh wrote:I'm a little disappointed that you haven't bought it yet.

Always love seeing TF logos on cars driving down the road.
My last car I added the Decepticon emblems actually. I got a newer car (my old one hit a pot hole and got busted up sadly and repairs were ridiculously expensive) and I haven't gotten any new 'Con emblems to attach to the new car. I actually bought three of them and I put one on the side of my computer I built and two on my old car (back and front).

Hey, nice con symbol on the car! My car has the bot emblem on the back window plus 1 one each rear fender in my pinstripes. (can't take a picture though, car was scratched up by a carwash and then hit by a deer 2 weeks ago and is going in for repairs

DAYUM. This guy is stunning. The black plastic is shiny like glass. I'm pretty sure this is what started the whole "Black Convoy" thing, and I SO wish I could slap some Decepticon symbols on him, but I don't think I could bring myself to alter him in any way.
Psssst. Cobs. This is the haul I was talking about.

It's funny you say that, because I bought two other emblems that I didn't like once in hand, and ended up slapping them on my tower

I am all good. The car, not so much. But he'll get repaired and repainted here hopefully within the next month so I can have him back in good driving shape again

Pretty rare. But after a quick eBay search, if you're patient he can be nabbed for a pretty decent price (less than 200 shipped).Delta Magnus wrote:Holy slag! Nucleon Quest Convoy! Isn't he rare as heck?

Oh yeah. when I first got the car, I put a nice 6" symbol in the back drivers side window (2008 Chevy Impala, blue). Then when I got it pinstriped, I wanted the Autobot emblems on the rear fenders. The guy printed 2 different sizes, and put the one in the pinstripe. He put the other 2 on the corners of my front and back windows since he wasn't going to use them otherwise, so my car actually has 5

Good stuff D
So folks. I've been thinking. I've said on numerous occasions that HasTak Computron's aside, I'm keeping my Quantron. But now I'm not so sure. I have a shelf in my room that I've been keeping my Combiners on, and Quanty went for a tumble. Nothings broken, but it happened a week ago and I haven't reassembled him because he's such an annoyingly complicated bugger, and I haven't had the energy. Or remember how.
I'm getting both upcoming Computron's, and reaallllyyy liking Takara's in spite of my desire to have a more varied Combiner shelf (because of the many mold reuses). BUT. These 3P combiners (in general) are such a pain in the ass, that I just don't even want to deal with them anymore. Which is a strange sentiment, since I still plan to finish my Ares (TFC Predaking) and even looking forward to it. To be fair to Ares though, he's not nearly as complicated.
Quanty is worth money. Money I could use. And I don't particularly think I'd miss him. I have a killer paycheque coming up, but my car needs all new tires and and a alignment done. So I don't know how much I'll be able to spend on fun stuff (assuming I do the adult thing). Maybe I'll put it off... I know next week I'll be working a lot too.
Also I really want to do something about my hood. My city is notorious for ruining windshields and hoods. So I either need to get some painting done followed up with some 3M'ing, or get something like a carbon fiber hood (which I think would look cool). But I have no idea what that'd cost or where to look.
Adulting is hard

Oh man, considering getting rid of Quant in favor of both? Wow. interesting turn of events.
For me, I would like to go Hasbro for price, but I just can't deal with the bad Brawl mold and the head that does not fit Computron on that mold, nor do I really want a straight repaint of Streetwise nor do I want the Superion head again considering I already have it twice. I'd love the arms and Scrounge, but the Takara one is so much better. I'd like to go way cheaper (probs like $50 since I wait on deals) but this is one of the few times that I'd go more expensive (TAV29 being the other time). Argh. But either way, I do not want Quantron as he is so much and having watched 3P reviews, they are just too fiddly and complicated for my taste!
And yes, adulting is hard
I really shouldn't have bought Galvs and Wheelie with Comp coming this month, and I plan to buy the deluxes and titanmasters on sight since I plan to make a trip on Tuesday maybe. I needs money and less adult!

I feel ya. I'm super excited about Lio Kaiser, but NOT looking forward to TWO friggin brawl moldsD-Maximus_Primal wrote:For me, I would like to go Hasbro for price, but I just can't deal with the bad Brawl mold

And see, Hasbro's is heavily flawed. But for some reason I find it endearing, and want it because he's SO different from Takara's which makes him unique.D-Maximus_Primal wrote:and the head that does not fit Computron on that mold, nor do I really want a straight repaint of Streetwise nor do I want the Superion head again considering I already have it twice. I used to only worry about my figures looking the part. But when all these 3P combiners started coming out, there was almost nothing official to compare them to. And after handling countless CW/UW figures, they're simple AND look the part. Even with upgrades they're a fraction of the price, and most importantly: STILL FUN!D-Maximus_Primal wrote:But either way, I do not want Quantron as he is so much and having watched 3P reviews, they are just too fiddly and complicated for my taste!
Ugh... I know. And I thought I'd be saving a little bit of money by skipping most of Hasbro's TR in favor of Takara's, but then they have to go and have completely different headsD-Maximus_Primal wrote:And yes, adulting is hardI really shouldn't have bought Galvs and Wheelie with Comp coming this month, and I plan to buy the deluxes and titanmasters on sight since I plan to make a trip on Tuesday maybe.
