Super-God Masterforce
- Weapon: Battle Blades
So about half a year back I remarked something about how Masterforce was bad and the blacksheep of the entire G1 line.
Well, I'm here to eat crow. DEELISHUS CROW, MOAR PLOX.
This is my absolute favorite series right now, just shading the original series. Whoever it was that told me to watch it from the start, you were right! The only bad thing about it is that it has probably the best toys period from all of G1, and boooy are they expensive. Yet, I want them all. For Primus' sake, this show even made QUICKSWITCH :barf: appealing to me.

Now if only Hasbro could or would release it offically in the USA along with Headmasters and Victory each with a new English dub.

I would definitely give the English dubs a look. I just cannot do subtitles.

Tell me about it. I've been seen singing "Get on God On Head On" while walking on the street. Not to mention the far more embarassing "slamming my forearms together and saying MASTERFORCE".
Holy crap! Just saw my post title: Headmaster JR.!!!
That is SO CASH.

I SO want Masterforce dubbed right. I know who all should voice most of the characters. Clancy Brown (Lex Luthor from Superman: TAS and JL/JLU) as BlackZarak, David Kaye (TFA Optimus) as Ginrai, Kevin Michael Richardson as Dauros, Paul Dobson (Naraku from InuYasha) as Hydra, Brad Swaile as Lightfoot, Richard Epcar (Myotismon from Digimon) as Giga/Overlord, Clancy Brown again (Rhino from The Spectacular Spider-Man) as Bullhorn, Richard Ian Cox (InuYasha) as Wilder, the list goes on.

Don't forget the ubiquitous Tara Strong as Minerva and Susan Blu as Mega.

Landmine - Dan Gilvezan
Waverider - Pat Fraley
Grand Maximus - Stephen Keener
Siren - Barbara Goodson
Hosehead - Mona Marshall
Minerva - Tara Strong
Ginrai - Rob Paulsen
Getaway - Bill Ratner
Joyride - Michael Bell
Slapdash - Jerry Houser
Cloudburst - Beau Weaver
Sixknight - Alan Oppenheimer
Decepticons
Devil Z - Peter Cullen
Bomb-burst - John Stephenson
Submaruader - Charlie Adler
Skullgrin - Earl Boen
Fangry - Hal Rayle
Horri-bull - Corey Burton
Squeezeplay - Barbara Goodson
Darkwing - Neil Ross
Dreadwind - Don Francks

Browning - Jennifer Darling
This is what I think would have been the cast back in the day, no chance of it ever happening now.

Clouder =/= Cloudburst.
Clouder = Doubledealer (but Clouder isn't a Decepticon)
Phoenix = Cloudburst.

Just out of curiosity, you have seen all/most/some of Masterforce, right?
This is just my preference, but I would prefer that Michael McConnohie would voice Star Saber if got Victory dubbed.

It's been a while since I watched MF, so my memory of most of the show is quite crappy. BTW, Mike McConnohie would be a great Star Saber.

I asked because I cannot picture Rob Paulsen as Ginrai. Most of his charcters are deep-voiced and kiddie.
And I say that Mike should be Star Saber because of his voice in the Game Crackdown for the Xbox 360. In the game, he is the voice of the Agency's Director, and sounds very 'Optimus Prime'-esque. When I first heard the Director's voice, I was thinking that it might be Peter Cullen. To my surprise, it was Michael McConnohie. The very same guy who voiced G1's Cosmos and Tracks, and RiD's Hot Shot and Ironhide, as well as numerous other voices. I'm surprised he hasn't perofrmed Optimus himself in any series (like RiD, but Neil Kaplan was a great choice too).
Since Star Saber kinda looks like Prime, I figured Mike's voice in Crackdown would be perfect for Star Saber. In the same way that I think David Kaye's TFA Optimus voice would be perfect for Ginrai (and Victory Leo, but slightly more gruff).
