And Kira Yamato was a lot less arrogant. Amuro bitched that he was the only one who could pilot the Gundam. Kira bitched BECAUSE he was the only who could pilot his Gundam.
Then again, Murrue Ramius was a lot softer on Kira than Bright Noa was on Amuro.
Agreed on all points, for once. I think it's clear that if there was a definative star of UC, it's Char.
Char was a lot less of a douche than Amuro. But although he had a somewhat noble ideal, he always had some bizzare way of accomplishing it.
Normally, from the inside. The thing is, it always worked that way. Killing the Zabis, ending the Titans. The long-term goal he ever failed at was forcing Humanity to migrate to space via Nuclear Winter.
But he was a lot more calm than Amuro. I think the only time I ever saw him get REALLY angry was near the end of CCA.
And he was cooler than rip offs Zechs Merquise and Rau Le Creuset.
On a somewhat different note: I started watching Gundam SEED in english, because I'm sick of hearing Japanese dudes cry.
I don't know what it is, but it lacks the charm Zeta Gundam had. I said the same thing aout ZZ Gundam, though, and I got really into that.
And INVOKE is pretty catchy. I don't care how much TM Revolution looks like a Japanese Elton John.
