Stopped in at the Mt.Vernon Wal-Mart for work supplies friday morning. Got my supplies and more Deluxes than I probably should have, but they had a full load of them.
'74 Bumblebee on through Longarm and Dropkick, Recon and regular Barricade, darn near every Deluxe released so far with maybe only 1 or 2 missing from the list. They also had 4 Rescue Ratchets and at least 3 each of Thundercracker and Voyager Megatron plus the full range of 3" Titanium figures.
(I finally got 3" Ironhide to add to the collection) I will probably check out Marysville Wal-Mart on the way up late saturday morning since I still have some work to finish. Plan to hit the Smokey Pt. Target on the way back down. Most of the stores north of Everett seem to be keeping up real well on the restocking lately so if there are any requests, make 'em by 11:30 Saturday morning. Also, if anyone wants/needs Dropkick, I'm contemplating returning him since I sort of overspent on the TF Budget. (Shirts, calendar, 2-disc DVD, etc.)
I'll hold onto him if someone wants him and even transport him to wherever you may be...within reason.

Unfortunately, a hosed up work schedule prevented my checking out the stores up north that may have good prospects. On the plus side, I was able to find the Starscream/Mirage Robot Heroes pack at Issaquah Target yesterday, so I now have all the original G1 Seekers...cutesified!
Thanks to all of you that had been keeping an eye out for those for me. Now that I have the set completed, I can return all the stuff I overspent on and still have a feeling of contentment.

Went to Everett WalMart this morning. They had a large empty space...maybe for the MP Starscream? They pushed the voyagers to the side looking to make room for something.
Hopefully we'll see him this week Matt. If you find a few extra Matt, could you stash one for me? I'll do the same.
Thanks.

hey everyone! i just wanted to share a bit of some unexpected good news that i got in the mail this weekend.
remember that best buy mess with local stores only having 4 figures on the DVD release date? even though i was able to make it there early and was lucky to get my hands on ratchet, i was still disappointed with the whole deal. when i made it into work that day, it was still burning in my mind, i felt cheated and i had to let someone know..
i went online to look up best buy's customer service number (1.888.best.buy, go figure!). i got transferred to the customer care center and just unloaded on the poor fella who answered. i told him that i took some time off from work so i could be there early, was nearly trampled when the doors opened, and was put off by the smart ass attitudes from the 'blue shirts'. when other customers were asking if there were more, they would just reply with a quick 'nope, and we're not getting anymore in'. what a load of crap! i also mentioned that it didnt make sense that best buy would put out a national ad and only have 4 figures in the store. the guy was so apologetic and even had to put me on hold to get assistence from his manager. they confirmed that there were around 800 figures sitting in their distribution center. they too were also confused as to why they were not delivered. they did not have info on when they will be shipped or what stores will be getting them, they just knew they had them in the warehouse. that was pretty much the end of the conversation, they got my name and my rewards zone information for reference and that was that... if anything i felt good about voicing my opinion to corporate.
fast forward to last friday.... looky-looky what i got in the mail
a $30 gift card from best buy!
i guess its true when people say the squeaky wheel gets the grease!
i encourage you all to give them a call and see if you get the same deal! since i found the figures in the store last week, its like getting the special edition DVD for free! score!

Nice job RodimusTitan!!! Now that's is truly stickin it to the man!!
Hummm, now if Best Buy can just get off their lazy asses and ship them already!! 800 huh? That doesn't sound like too many. I'll bet that works out to about 4 per store again nation wide. Oh well, better some than none at all. At the very least it will help drive the cost down on ebay, which still sounds like my best option when I get some mo dough.
You should consider taking this encounter to the main seibertron board. I'm sure everyone would get a kick out of it and...AND it may send a nice flow of complaints in....if you know what I mean $$$$$$$$
As I type I've got the second disc of two in from the Target Exclusive Optimus Prime transforming dvd which I picked up this evening.
I thought they were sold out but as of tonight they still have about 10 left.

Nice work Eddie. I am doubting that I will be getting one from Best Buy. I wrote them a nice little letter online about it the day the movie was released. I was pretty pissed off at the time. No response back yet. Im not gonna hold my breath.

On the Prime subject. Thanks for letting me know. I passed it on to the guy I had sold it to since he missed the exchange meeting we set up in Kent (long story there). He didn't want to order it and get stuck with two or something like that, and it was off the site soon after.
I will wait a couple days on Bestbuy. They sent out an email saying that they had a lot of emails at that time, and (not that it is a huge amount) I have spent about $2500 there in the past 3 months that they should be able to track on my rewards card.

As mentioned before, Target was the place to be this weekend. At Lynnwood and Woodinville, I found Thundercracker, Rescue Ratchet, (a minty) Leader Prime, Barricade, and Swindle - all for my sealed set.

I just gave Everett WalMart a call and they said they had some MP Starscreams, but they are now sold out. I'm not sure if it is the same situation I read elsewhere, where it shows up in the system as being sold out until it arrives in the store or if it really sold out.
Well I guess I can try Lynnwood and Marysville.

Just got off the phone with Marysville WalMart. They said they are not "expecting to get it." I guess I can rule out having to check there now. Lynnwood just gave me the answer "no" when I asked if they have any or would be expecting to get any in.
I'm hoping Everett made a mistake about it being sold out, looks like they are/were my only chance.
Have you had any luck Matt?
T. if you happen to head up to the Mt. Vern. WalMart anytime within the next two weeks can you keep an eye out for MP Starscream?
Thanks.

I'll be heading up north later in the week and will put MP Starscream at the top of my list. Everett Wal-Mart really was sold out of them. I was in there earlier this evening but they did have 1 ea. of Leader Prime and Leader Megatron and over a 1/2 dozen Ultimate Bumblebee with Bonus Deluxe class figures. Scorponok and Barricade were the ones if I remember right. Reminded me of the Armada and Energon figures that used to come with bonus mini-cons.
The real bummer about my runs up north is that I tend to hit the stores early to avoid crowds and traffic. Once I reach the shop, my cell phone is the only contact with the outside world. This place is out in BFE farm territory and is actually a converted cattle raising facility. Heat is by means of a Kerosene heater, and using the "bathroom" Saturday evening almost got me an ass kicking by a racoon. He didn't like sharing his tree, apparently.
I may take my lap top with me since one of the rest areas on the way back is set up with Wi-Fi. That way I can get the info out there sooner.

In checking the other forums on this site and another, no where in the west coast (CA, WA, OR, etc.) has seen MP Starscream yet. And there are very few sightings throughout the rest of the US.
Looking at how Ult BB had hit in very low numbers at first (and was scalper bait at that time) and now he's pretty much common - I have to think the Starscream will hit in large enough numbers to deter heavy scalping.
The price is not cost effective enough for scalping. They can spin $30 off a $10 08'BB (a few months back), but they would be hard pressed to spin alot off an already expensive figure. Look at Star Wars fiugres and Hot Wheels - both very cheap.

He didn't say what day he saw/bought it, but he posted on Monday a little after 3 p.m. so I assume it was Sat-Sun

No Starscream at Puyallup Walmart, no label or anything yet.
Puyallup has the Cobra Legions 5-Pack for anyone looking for Joes. Single figures seem to be hard to find right now.
Also, on a good note, the Prime situation is finally resolved.
