Just asking for some advice. I have a pitifully small collection of cybertron EVAC, movie Brawl and beast wars Injector. I am working on this situation. So, I want to know who is a better purchase:
Movie voyager Starscream
Movie voyager Blackout
Some questions I would like answered:
Does miniscorp-o have any articulation?
What is Blackout's automorph?
Does Starscream look stupid with gun arms?
And are there any major faults I should know?
Thank you for your time. I shall eventually inform of my chosen aircraft.
Advice on next purchase.

1. Tail
2. Not Sure
3. Only if you keep the missiles in.
4. Blackout has Rotor gimmick. Blakout is about a head taller than Brawl. Starscream has chicken legs.
Overall, I like Starscream the best, Preferably the G1 repaint.

A lot of people dislike both character/toys, but I'll go out on a limb and tell you that most would prefer starscream over blackout. I know I do!
I don't mind the gun hands at all, they're pretty cool if you ask me. I didn't like SS at first, but he grew on me very quickly. He doesn't look much like a real F-22, so know that before the purchase. His automorph is very cool, and the transformation process is nice overall.
Blackout has a great 'copter mode. So much potential with him, but the crappy transformation process ruins it. He feels very cheap, and must be a germophobe or something with those white gloves that he wears. His poseability is aweful, mostly because of the way he attaches at the shoulder. Also, the spring loaded button that spins the prop is too long, so his stance is a little too forward in bot mode because of it. He really should not be a voyager class ... Leader would have been much more ideal.
His automorph isn't that bad, when it works ... but if you have to manually override it, which you will, some bad clicking noises will occur from jumping teeth on the gears. Who knows how long it will hold up.
Blackouts "blade gun" gimmick is just so aweful. If it locked in place better it wouldn't be "TOO" bad. It basically just rests on his shoulder while his hand grasps a typical weapons peg. This severely throws his already terribly balance ... well, off!
I hope this helps your decision.
Starscream FTW!

AlienQuikSilver's pretty much summed it all up nicely. I will add the following:
1. Blackout is a disappointment simply because, if you watch the movie, you'll feel that the whole transformation is one big cheat. Basically you remove the entire top and back half of the helicopter, and then he's supposed to hold that as a weapon? Ridiculous. A Transformer toy in my view has to be that, a Transformer. That's one reason why I like the movie line so much, everything including weapons get used in both modes, none of that remove this here, add on this piece there crap of other transforming toys. But Blackout comes close. They could have given him a better transformation with all available parts, only the rotor should have been removable to use as a hand weapon.
2. Deluxe Brawl is famous for its shoulder peg problems. But it has redeeming features, in terms of weaponry, proportion, ability to balance and poseability. Blackout in my mind comes nowhere close, yet he's supposed to be Voyager. Because of the way he transforms, he looks real puny as a robot. It's really obvious when you compare him to, say, Ratchet and Voyager Prime. I like to believe I'm a little creative with posing; with Blackout I can't do sh!t because you can't balance him! So I'd even say that given a choice between Voyager Blackout and Deluxe Brawl, I'd purchase the latter.
3. SS may have the chicken legs, but I somehow like him in person. You get used to it after a while, and cannon hands with a surround of spikes look badass too. Plus, his automorph is a hell of a lot better than Blackout's. I love his rotating arm cannons; the missiles actually work well and fire off minigun-like in alt mode.
Just one caveat: his leg joints are really really tight; you may need to loosen them one or two clicks with a Phillips head screwdriver to prevent breaking when transforming.
Usually I'd cheat out of a question like this by ending with "If you can afford, buy them both". In this case, I'd say if you can afford, buy Voyager SS, and something else.
Good luck!

Thanks for the tips. It will take a while for me to get the funds, but Starscream definitely sonds better. Three more questions:
Do Blackout's missiles detatch?
How does Little-stinger's tail move?
Does the Starscream figure try to push Megatron off the shelf when within a certain distance?
Thanks again.
