So some new headcanons from me.
>Stinger was created as a collaboration between the Autobots and the American weapons company KSI Corporation to try and create an artificial Transformer and hopefully bolster Autobot forces. Bumblebee offered himself up as a "model" to inspire the design of the new robot, and after a surprisingly brief development cycle, the prototype was complete! Unfortunately, whilst the actual hardware of the synthetic Autobot was very well designed and pretty much on par with a "real" Transformer, without a spark (and with a cerebral processor equipped with a rather awful morality chip sub-contracted out to Apple) the prototype went berserk and ran off, before joining the Decepticons after Megatron convinced him that he could help Stinger get revenge on the humans that brought his torturous existence into being. He is only capable of communicating with vaguely insectile snarls, and holds a particular loathing for Bumblebee for some reason. Bumblebee isn't too worried as he's nearly twice the size of Stinger. (Seriously, Battle Blade Bumblebee is HUGE!) This probably makes Stinger even angrier.
>The Dinobots aren't stupid or primitive at all- they're actually a quintet of ancient Cybertronian knights who settled on Earth millions of years ago, and were for a long time revered by humanity, who worshipped them as god-kings. Then they disappeared under mysterious circumstances only to be re-awakened and emerge in the present day. They're still fiercely protective of humanity but they are a little bemused that the awe and respect of the humans they knew has been replaced by fear. They do speak in the third person, but in a more archaic, eloquent, medieval manner than the caveman-speak most universe's Dinobots use. So for example, Grimlock would introduce himself as "I Grimlock" as opposed to "Me Grimlock".
>Black Shadow is the head of the notorious Space Mafia, with assorted thugs and crooks under his command. This organization is known for gun-running, racketeering, smuggling, selling of restricted substances, trafficking of humans, aliens and Transformers and various other crimes. He is a cold-hearted killer and a complete monster, yet he is strangely protective of his surrogate son, the time displaced human boy known as Cancer.
>Blitzwing's Headmaster process went horrendously wrong and split his personality into three distinct entities, each forming a separate Headmaster. Hazard von Blitzwing (his dominant personality) is aggressive and violent, with a hair-trigger temper and very little patience. Skytread von Blitzwing is cold and detached, a strategic genius and infinitely patient but with a cruel streak a mile long. Finally, Doomshot von Blitzwing is completely and utterly insane, with a twisted sense of humour. The three Headmasters crew his Transtector like a vehicle, and are forever arguing over who gets to be his head (and thus "in charge").

To me, Sharkticon Megatron is The Fallen and the Generations Mini-Con Assault Team are Tidal Wave's personal set of Mini-Cons And the Renegades in Go-Bots are actually just rogue Decepticons. And my three Optimus Primes are Optimus Prime (Cybertron Prime), Ginrai (G1 Powermaster Prime), and Fire Convoy (RID2001 Optimus Prime). And finally, Generations Armada Starscream is Redwing and his Mini-Con is Drivetrain.

Can't believe I never found this thread earlier. There's a lot of neat ideas here!
As for me, I'm working on something with my PotP Legends class figures. On Cybertron, Dinobots and Insecticons are rival species that compete in underground caverns for Energon. As a result of dwindling resources, the Insecticons now work for the Decepticons, with those Insecticons led by Skrapnel. Slash is part of a group of raptor Dinobots that end up being ambushed by Skrapnel and several Decepticons, and she's the only survivor.
She's later found by Beachcomber, who recruits her into the Autobots and helps her join the main Dinobot team. She later finds out that her packmate, Cindersaur, sold them out to the Decepticons, which caused the ambush. The two being packmates is why they share the same mold and all. So now Slash is out for revenge against Skrapnel and Cindersaur, and Beachcomber's trying to help keep her on the right path.

I had some crazy idea for figures, and I write the occasional bio. Here's a rough draft of the latest one, for PCC Grimstone who's an honorary member of the G1 Dinobots. Right now he's getting cozy with fellow newbie Slash:
Name: Grimstone
Allegiance: Autobot
Current sub-Group: Dinobot
Function: Strategist, Berserker
He prided himself as being part of a prestigious Autobot lightning strike team. However, an ambush near the Toxic Slug Swamps left him as the only survivor. Blaming higher-ups and even accusing them of conspiring against the team, the incident left him questioning most forms of authority. He found kindred spirits in the Dinobots, who respect his gung-ho behaviour, and having enough guts to give Grimlock some proverbial lip. He still values team work with his previous role as a strategist, but when push comes to shove he'll gladly go out on his own to do some major damage, charging like a rhino with reckless abandon.
Abilities:
In Styracosaurus mode, his frill can reflect most laser-based shots, while his horn made from cybertanium can dig into whoever is unlucky enough to stand still shooting at him. He's also quite fast in that form, in a straight line. In robot mode, he lets his strength and wrestling expertise do the talking, lifting and back dropping bots twice his size. As his previous team was a Combiner Team, he's been granted a set of drones built by Wheeljack, and has been retrofitted to become the body instead of an arm or leg. In combined form his strength increases to the point he could potentially make Trypticon trip.
Drones:
The Parasaurolophus drone is equipped with a pair of Sonic Cannons that can blow any larger Transformer off its feet. The Dimetrodon has a single Solar Blaster, and functions as a spare solar battery. The Ankylosaurus with its mortar launcher is near imprevious to damage, while the Pachycephalosaurus (his favourite, despite the long name), armed with concussion cannons, can ram and topple a solid block of steel. Grimstone gets access to all drone weaponry whe combined, he mostly uses the Sonic Cannons for "softening up" his opponents.
Weaknesses:
Carrying no weapons whatsoever in robot mode leaves him at a disadvantage, but the Drones usually give him cover. His biggest weakness is that he's mortified by any body of water large enough for a large Transformer or Combiner to hide in, leaving him incapacitated until anyone can snap him out of it (by ramming). Of the Drones, the Dimetrodon is the weak link as it's slow and takes several hours to fully charge.
Comments, suggestions?
Right now, I'm trying figure out Legion Grimlock, Legion Strafe, Clobber and Ptero. I may put the first two with the Movie Dinos.

Sorry for the "bump," but I just forgot to mention that I also consider my G2 Ramjet and e-Hobby black Starscream as new Seeker characters, as well. I call them "Slipstream" (obvious nod to Animated) and "Dark Star."

Now that I acquired Snarl, Volcanicus is complete and bio draft written. May post that later. TR Clobber and Ptero join in the fun in their own way, Clobber is getting friendly with Snarl, while Ptero keeps Slash company. As such new names are needed (nothing set in stone yet):
Clobber: Tyrannitron with Noise
Ptero: Skimmer with Graphy
Skimmer is female btw

I'm considering assembling 2 versions of CW Bruticus. If I replace G1 Brawl with G2 Brawl and G1 Swindle with G2 Swindle in the regular retail set, I will have the IDW version from TAAO. I'm also trying to put together a G1 comic version that's as accurate as possible to the TF Universe profile picture. For that, I would be using Tactician Cyclonus from the Grand Galvatron set as the torso, PotP Blast Off, G2 Vortex, G1 Swindle and G1 Brawl.
My question is this: if I buy a whole G2 Combaticon set, who could G2 Onslaught and G2 Blast Off represent?

I paired up G2 Blast Off with Jet Blast Off as brothers and legs for Megascream with Blackwing and Dreadwind as the arms. I call the 2 blast off jets Take Off and Touch Down.
Then I cobbled together some of the remaining G2 parts from Menasor and Bruticus. Namely Onslaught (yellow), Swindle (orange), Brawl (green), Breakdown (blue) and Dead End (red) with G2 Shockwave (purple) as their weapon. I call this one Eyesore, he basically looks like a box of crayons threw up.

Menasor. Hmm... I do despise the MotorMaster mold. Maybe UW Onslaught would be a better choice. His colors fit better. I could use G2 Blast Off with Starscream and the other jets.

I've been making up my own headcanon for Eukaris, trying to better incorporate the various beast tech that we have out there.
It's lead to me creating a few distinct factions behind their government.
First off, all this fractured society business is straight up because Lio Convoy is missing. He up and left without warning to go on a vision quest sensing some impending catastrophe.

Trying to hold the Eukarian government together, it's best minds came up with a plan to give the people a replacement leader in the meantime: The Magnaboss. As fearsome as Lio Convoy but blessed with only the best qualities of his components, The Magnaboss has done all it can to keep outright war from breaking out between the tribes.

The brilliant but volatile Magmatron leads a faction who call themselves Fuzors. One problem of landing on a planet populated with organics is the high failure rate of alt mode scanning, leading to what many consider to be freaks of technology. Magmatron, in addition to being a brilliant theorist of political philosophy was a noted physician. His research in how to cure Fuzors of their plight led to an unfortunate accident which split his spark amidst three component parts. The disfigurement sent him into exile where the Fuzors came to rally behind his radical ideas about equality and governance.

Many who landed on Eukaris outright refused to participate in the wholly organic nature of their alt mode options. Where almost all the Cybertronians who landed there found Fuzors to be abhorrent, a smaller but significant number found the lack of Cybertronian tradition to be nearly as bad. One powerful ideologue known as Tigerhawk came to lead the Transmetal movement. Believing that they should bear more of the familiar trappings of their original home-world, the Transmetals view those with purely organic alt modes as lesser beings. Prone to bouts of anger and bigotry that have lead to open conflict, the Magnaboss has only managed to broker a tenuous peace with Tigerhawk, promising that Lio Convoy will return with the answers needed to move the two sides beyond this conflict.

Utterly repulsed by Tigerhawk's acceptance of the Magnaboss' stalling tactics, the creature known as Galvatron seeks open warfare with the state and the combined might of the tribes. An utter Techno-ist, Galvatron views the Transmetal movement as the only sane way for Cybertronians to live. He has developed a cyber-virus that overwrights the genetic code of those with purely organic alt modes and forcefully installs techno-components into them. Galvatron has the ability to tap into any of his followers at any moment to read their thoughts or control their actions. He is utterly insane with power and in the absence of Lio Convoy has become more brazen over time. Only the recent intervention of Magmatron (who has observed that his Fuzors are immune to the virus) has kept his virus in check.

That's my story.
I'm sticking to it.

Re: Collection Headcanons/"In my collection, he's actually..."
With both Punch/Counterpunch and the Throne of the Primes on preorder I've been wondering what to do with that spare translucent Prima. However, I've decided to headcanon something a bit different and I'm switching which Prime Master is Prima and which is the Thirteenth Prime.
This will be my Prima, since this Prime Master is a clear homage to the G1 Marvel Comics. While the white/silver/blue seems the color scheme associated with Aligned and 'Neo-G1' Prima ultimately Optimus Primal is a character more rooted in older Generation 1. As such this is now Prima:

Meanwhile, the unnamed Thirteenth Prime is this guy:

Given I'm not a fan of Optimus-as-the-Thirteenth, the way I see the normal colored Prime Master is what the original sort of looked like. This guy, on the other hand...

Is the Prime-That-Will be, sort of in a resurrection imagery common in myth and religions. Think of it sort of like Maitreiya aka 'Future Buddha'. Neither living nor dead, neither in the past or future, the translucent Thirteenth is sort of like a 'Matrix Ghost' in a way. Or alternatively, think of him as the lineage of the Primes and the Matrix' memory and wisdom in anthropomorphic form. He will probably sit in the Matrix Chamber of my Optimus Primal while his regular self is in the halo.

Cyberverse Shockwave will double as my G1 Shockwave for now: if/when he's replaced by the hypothetical Siege Shockwave we've heard about the Cyberverse Shockwave may become something like a 'drone' or a 'doombot' of sort. A fake Shockwave to fool Autobots thinking they've defeated him.

Anyone familiar with Pyros from the One Must Fall games? I was thinking of mixing some of his aspects in with RiD Twinferno, including booster feet and flame-throwing hands.

The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Re: Collection Headcanons/"In my collection, he's actually..."
Bringing back a dead thread with a suitably 'undead' theme: having acquired Legends Octane, he came with a 'Starscream's Ghost' Titan Master. Since he needed a body and my Nitro Zeus has (temporarily) lost his head it was a match made in heaven. Nitro looks 'normal' enough as far as a movie guy goes with a CHUG lineup. He's also a fighter jet, he's a decent-sized Voyager and he is 'corpse gray' (as dead Transformers tend to lose colors).
The resulting mashup is my post-mortem Starscream in my collection, with his indestructible spark/ghost reanimating some poor generic grunt as his corpse-puppet to enact his revenge or...something. Maybe whine a lot too, its Starscream after all.

This isn't terribly creative, but I've always preferred the Japanese interpretation of headmasters, in which the head robot is the only sentient member and the body/vehicle is just a drone. Therefore, characters like Gort/Xort and Monzo/Monxo don't exist.

I'm much the same, actually. The idea of having to rely on a separate entity to form your head is kinda silly.

Ultra Magnus
A lost stasis pod of the Axalon. A severe crash caused by the Quantum Surge rendered his Protoform a blank, yet fate would make use of his form in the resurrection of Optimus Primal. Following the end of the Beast Wars, Megatron would escape custody and assail the surviving Maximals. Optimus Primal would in turn be separated thrice by his nemesis spite, from The Optimal, the Transmetal and the Organic. Though lost in the confusion, in this science gone awry, stirrings of a lost spark would begin to reawaken a lone Transmetal ape. One that would silently roam Cybertron, looking for something called "Optimus"...

I use the original BM Night Slash Cheetor as like Nemesis Cheetor or Cheetorus Unicronus or something. I dunno what name to use; just some kind of evil Cheetor. It's just funny that the original use of that mold looks like the evil black repaint of the yellow version that actually came later.
