I'm finicky like that. If I'm paying full price for a figure, I want to be the one to pop its cherry, so to speak.

Since it is already in the US, not long at all...the normal, and they are very good about shipping so I'd say less than a week depending how quickly your order is processed, etc.

Got mine in 2 business days after the order was placed.

I didn't even expect to find him at my door; I usually try to arrange for my fiance to pick up packages for me when they arrive, but this was totally unexpected.

That happened to me too and I figured out what the problem was. I'll try to explain it the best I can. If you don't understand I'll try to take some pics when I get home. The piece that connects the lower arm and the upper arm can be moved so that the upper arm and lower arm are out of alignment. You need to move the lower arm.

Something like this (ignore dots):

[..] <-- lower arm

move them like this

[..] <-- upper arm
.[]
..[..] <-- lower arm

I did what you're talking about there. The issue is that there is about a millimeter of tolerance that is just otherwise unaccounted for somewhere else in the transformation.

I can actually force mine closed, but it just feels wrong.

Yeah, I can force mine, too...but that doesn't feel right, especially when I paid over $100 for this guy. When I get home, I'll try Omega-1's idea... I still think I moved the lower arm about as much as it will go...

I'm getting tired of the ball-jointed parts popping off, too. :MAD:

I'm not sure if this will help but I took a picture. The first shot shows when you have his arm in that position, rotate and lift at the same time. I find that it helps in pushing it as far up as possible. And the second pic shows the result.

Oh ****, well Ill just order From BBTS even though the plug will be glued in I dont care. Tfsource Screwed up my order once so I said Screw them so I turn to Bbts With my Awsomely kewl Modified Megatron.

Just got home and discovered that my Megs from BBTS arrived!

The toy is pretty awesome. BBTS (re)packaged the figure well considering it was modded (you can tell they opened the box from the bottom which had an extra piece of tape).

Alrighty, now for the big concern... The orange safety tip is glued and, at first, it seems pretty darn secure- but far from "permanent." It is pretty easy to remove, just takes some care. I took some needle-nose pliers and was able to loosen and pull the plug a little to make small gap between the end of the barrel and the plug. I then took a flathead screwdriver, slide it into the gap, and pried out the plug. Worked pretty well.

Not too risky, but it does take some force to get that plug out. If you're careful enough you won't damage the toy at all. There will be some glue residue in the barrel- I have not tried removing it since you cannot see it unless you shine light right into the barrel- but I would think its possible using a q-tip and some Goo Gone and/or maybe trying scraping it off if you really wanted no sign of the glue. As they stated on the BBTS site, the glue is only added at the bottom of the plug and seemed like a minimal amount.

If you plan on trying to remove the plug yourself, I just recommend transforming the figure into gun form first and, of course, just be really careful loosening the plug before prying it out. If the plug is too stubborn and seems like there was a lot of glue used, might be better to just drill as much of the plug out and/or do some touch-up paint.

Listen up all you BBTS buying people, I have some good advice for you here...

Take a hair dryer, turn it to low/hot heat and apply it to the barrel for 3-5 minutes, then try and pull the cap.

That should make it easier to remove.

I just got mine today on my local comic book store and all of the MP-Megatrons they got are unmodified. Let me just say I freakin love this figure. No glued cap, no modifications no nothing.

He got 2 huge boxes with 19 MP-5 and 6 MP-3. Plus a few hybrid Convoys.

To anyone here that owns MP-3 Megatron, did you re-act the movie scene with Prime and Megatron? I just couldn't resist.

Plus Megatron looks great with some Decepticons Alternators at his side.

I just got my MP Megs today from BBTS, & I'll confirm that the plug was stuck pretty tight.........was........

Using CP's suggestion, I used a hairdryer....& a pair of pliers.....& got that sucker out, so my Megs is sitting pretty enjoying watching Kremzeek frolick on his hand.

....One word of advice....if you plan to use pliers, be very careful finding a place to grab the plug....because it's rounded & hard to grip, & you could end up clamping down on the end of the barrel instead. My Megs now has a couple of indendtions where my pliers dug into it....not to worry, though, as they're barely noticable. :grin:

Hmmm. My MP Megs from BBTS gets here tommorow, so I'll see how hard it is to yank the plug out, if I can at all. I hope if it's possible, I'll be able to apply some adhesive remover in what little space is left between the barrel & the plug..........................

I did some thinking. If the plug in Megs is rubber, maybe you can use a corkscrew to get a good grip on it (I wouldn't go down too far because the pressure could crack the barrel of the gun) while pulling out. Make sure you use the hairdryer to heat up the glue before you pull..

I don't know about the other plugs, but the ones BBTS are using are pretty solid plastic, so that probably wouldn't work.

Do this, get one of those grippy-rubber flat jar openers, the kind that you place on top of jelly jars to help you open them (if you're a 12 year old girl...).

Heat up the barrel with the hair dryer and slowly work the cap out with the grip cloth.

Yea, you'll probably slip off a couple of times in the process, but it's better than a screwdriver or pliar indentation.
