OK so the decorations are back in the loft, my New year's hangover has finally receded so it is time to look ahead. So without further ado here is my 'top 10' wishlist of figures which I need to complete my CHUG collection, in priority order. I have suggested existing moulds which could be used where I have thought of them. Also, what is on your wishlist?

Top Ten

1: Trailbreaker (1984) (Deluxe sized) - my only hole in the 1984 Autobots collection. The Legends figure, while nice, just won't do.

2: Skids (1985) - In the UK comic, Skids spent a long old time in limbo, and it seems real life is imitating art in this poor bloke's case, with no sign of an update past the Alternators figure.

3: Hoist (1985) (Deluxe sized) - C'mon HasTak, if you are going to make Trailbreaker, you may as well retool him and give us Hoist as well, crunch the numbers - it makes sense.

4-7: Slag, Snarl, Swoop, Sludge (1985) I'd be hapy with FOC representations of these even if they were deluxe-sized, because Grimlock is badass. Someone will step up and do justice to the other 4 Dinobots if Hasbro won't.

8: Blitzwing (1985) So we get Astrotrain and Octane, but no Blitzwing, woot? again, I'm sure someone else might beat Hasbro to the punch here.

9: Sandstorm (1986) Just because I have 2 out of the 3 Autobot triple changers already, and I'm nothing if not a completist.

10: Tailgate (1986) Hasbro have a perfectly good Windcharger mould presumably gathering dust - why not make a quick buck by using it again?

Just Outside

YOTS Omega Supreme looks pretty great, so why not retool/redeco Energon Metroplex and Scorponok respectively to give us G1 homages instead? Just please don't make us wait for the next year of the snake.

1 - Fort Max reissue.
2 - A third sweep, maybe TM Scourge if I'm lucky.
3 - A loose, complete Cyclonus. I want my 1986 movie 'cons complete.
4 - Gnaw. Because... Gnaw.
5 - YOTS Omega Supreme.
6 - Masterforce Lightfoot. My Godmasters need their team complete, dammit.
7 - TM Slugslinger MIB.
8 - Japanese Sinnertwin MIB.
9 - Japanese Hun-grr MIB.

Being locked firmly in second place made sound like a bit of a backhanded compliment...

So glad to finally have the last Phase Sixer.


4. MP-15 Ravage and Rumble
Masterpiece cassettes are downright beautiful.


5. MP-16 Frenzy and Buzzsaw

6. Fansproject Stunticons
Already this list is 3rd party heavy.


7. Voyager Predaking
I don't know if the Weaponizer/Leader will be prettier, but I suspect this one will scale better.


8. Beast Hunters Smokescreen
Finally.


9. AM-32 Stunticon Wildrider
Never knew that Wheeljack mold was so versatile.


10. AM-34 Jet Vehicon General
Takara has gone out of their way to give non-army builders a way to army build.

Somehow, I feel this thread should merge with the "The TF you want but you know Hasbro will NEVER make" thread. You know what I mean.

My list:

Sixshot - Since MC Terminus Hexatron is preordered, this wish list is fulfilled

Predacon/Predaking - Again, probably need to rely on 3rd party to fulfill this need. But not sure about the fund.

Classic-ish Ironhide - Kind of gave up on the classics/universe Ironhide. FoC style would work for me but the size has to be bigger. iGear's doesn't work for me. (why am I so picky?)

Classic-ish Trailbreaker - Deluxe class size. Kind of like the bigger size of the legend class one.

Classic-ish Hoist - Same as Trailbreaker.

Classic-ish Blitzwing - Triple changer please, and not as lame as Octane.

Blaster - FoC is not right for me. Device Label one feels like a really good choice.

If any Dinobots other than Grimlock in deluxe size, that would be nice.

well I do want a lot of the things already mentioned, but im gonna add to that

Classics Cloudraker and Fastlane. these could be a couple very easy repaints of the Jet Vehicon and Vehicon respectively

More Hasbro combiners. some more refining and fine tuning and maybe we can see a good official gestalt in the future

2013? I'd like the Encore series to produce all of the combiners. I'm quietly confident that we may see another new gestalt or two this year.

Going back to the first post:

I hope IGEAR or another 3rd party does Trailbreaker because I don't think Hasbro would ever do him Voyager size for CHUG, and I think his character deserves to be a Voyager.

I'm curious how a company will pull off a Trailbreaker/Hoist. Even though their g1 toy used the same mold they were very different looking in the cartoon. Hoist was kind of squatty-fat looking, while Trailbreaker was tall/lean... almost as tall as Prime in some scenes.

I hope Hasbro winds up doing Blitzwing as a deluxe, and soon. Astrotrain and Blitzwing deserve to be a voyager, but unless someone comes along and does both at the same time, Classics Astrotrain would look awkward next a 3rd party voyager Blitzwing.

I'm really hoping for FOC dinobots to beat out any 3rd party release. They have enough G1 aesthetic and are really nice updates for me, and would be much easier on the wallet. If Sludge was a deluxe though it would be disappointing.
