After a recent firmware upgrade on my PSP I noticed a new feature called Digital Comics. The initial run involved the downloading of the app itself and a notice informing me that the system would be up and running shortly. I was also given a voucher code to redeem against a free copy of All Hail Megatron #1.

I am in the UK and this service may already be up and running in the US and elsewhere.

I like the idea of digital comics and the app works well once you get used to how it works. As you press the right button on the D pad the PSP scrolls and zooms in and out of the artwork, stopping on key frames to allow you to read the text. You can manually scroll around with the thumb stick and the shoulder buttons operate zoom. Page turning is activated using the up and down buttons.

As the Transformers brand continues to expand, there are also a growing amount of ways to immerse yourself in the fandom, especially when it comes to new forms of Transformers related media. After doing some research, we can confirm that this is not limited to the UK. Simply download the PSP's new comic reader, go to the Playstation store using your PSP and enter doiwnload code EC2N-9HBR-HJD6. Then enjoy!
