Some help with comics

Postby Super4Ever » Mon May 03, 2010 9:08 am

I was wondering if anyone could help me with some comic question I had. Basically, I'm looking for comics that continue from the Beast Wars/Beast Machines era. I was wondering if anyone could help me with what series I should be looking for and perhaps where to find them. I found Transformers Universe #4 from last years BotCon at my local comic shop, though I'm not sure if that actually takes place in the timeline I'm looking for. Any help would me most appreciated. Thank you.

There were two comic series that coincided with/followed after Beast Machines.

One was The Wreckers, which rans for five issues: Departure, Betrayal, Disclosure, The Wreckers: Finale Part 1, and Wreckers: Finale Part II.

It was set mostly during and a few moments after Beast Machines.

The other was Universe, which had three issues: Abduction, Escape, and Homecoming; and two OTFCC script readings: one in 2003 (set between issues 1 and 2) and one in 2004 (set after issue 3).

This comic remains unfinished, but the conclusion of its story can be briefly seen in Revelations Part 2 of the Balancing Act comic series.

I also think I remember hearing that the comics that the Transformers Collectors Club members get take place post-Beast Era. Is that true?

IDW also published 2 Beast Wars series, The Gathering and The Ascending. Dreamwave published their Summer Special, which contained a short Beast Wars story and their MTMTE profiles books tied in to BW.

"Dawn of the Future's Past" is set before Beast Wars, as is the "Theft of the Golden Disk" short video episode. But nothing else other else was set post-Beast Machines.
