It's not just the crest, but it was the most prominent thing. At any rate, my money's with MMC, so my opinion on Ares is somewhat invalid anyway

The MMC's Ferocicons are the clear winners here. MMC did the best job in the Sculpting & scale. Having all the TFC Ares animals be so oversized is a minus not a plus. There is nothing worse than oversized toys that can't blend in anywhere on fans display shelves.

What's up with the robot arms on Razorclaw,Tantrum & Ramhorn not being able to transform & hide themselves in Predaking mode. Tantrum's & Ramhorn's torso's look bad in Predaking mode,Hopefully they are not Predaking's kneee joints.

It looks like TFC is doing something similar to MMC. By having Tantrum & Ramhorn share the same mold with some retooled parts.

Yeah, Ramhorn looks odd slightly turned like that, but I'm certain he can be better positioned.

I still like these legs better than on the MMC version. MMC's look like pears instead of legs

I agree with the way (way, Way, WAY) too big part, but I like his overall design better than MMCs. But having Nemean much larger than the other 4 was the nail in the coffin for this set for me.

As for the combined mode legs, both TFC and MMCs, have flaws and merits. I'm not 100% in love with either. I hate the way MMCs animal mode legs wrap around to the back of the leg, but these have some strangeness in how the bot mode arms are stored so, for me, it is a bit of a toss up. Once again MMCs more traditional proportions win out.

If this set ever goes on super sale, I may be tempted to get it though.
