No, officer, it's completely innocent stuff, I swear!Burn wrote:Talking about other members behind their backs? You two should be ashamed of yourselves!

In all honesty, the PMs were strictly and purely about the Beast Wars cartoon itself.

People are more discerning now.Back when we were kids, did anyone question how Megs would shrink and allow Starcream to press his trigger? Why not just break him in gun mode?
G1 was like the song of Billy Joel. It started the fire alright. Not perfect but the foundation of it all.To the naysayers out there. If it's such a cr@ppy iteration, how come Tomy is still printing cash with their G1 inspired MPs? Even the latest toys draw their inspiration from G1.
As for human interaction, well despite some cultural differences, I kind of like how Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory handled that aspect. The original was kind of light with the human aspects.
Speaking of which, Megatron is one sadistic sOb! Remember when Carly tries to help Ironhide and was captured? Megs and the crew watch while she was drowning. For a kids show back then, how it made past the censors......try doing that now and you'll have parents/feminazi groups howling of misogyny etc

G1 is a very great golden goose for both Hasbro, Tomy. Especially the Chinese market. They are just nuts over TF!

Also, in the pilot episodes, Megatron actually blasted 'screamer's arm when he held back their (the Decepticon's) scheduled launch. Sure it didn't get blown off but name an American cartoon on network TV (well no such animal no longer exists now) where some bad guy would shoot the arm of a main character? Sure there were no "bullets" but lasers but even then........heck the Parents against Violence to kids would have had a fit.
I also remember in Fire in the Sky (correct me if I mixed it up) when Skyfire first made his appearance. Megatron threw an energon cube at Starscream's noggin' when informed Hound and the gang survived. ........."you disgust me........." or something to that effect.
My kiddy heart back then

Then anything you have said, and plan to say in this thread, is irrelevant. Your opinion is uninformed.

The Transformers brand was always about change. I really dig the base style Japanese face designs with the robo goaties. Most especially seen in the MP Star Saber, all the then robot genre realized in it.

Someone here enjoys the attention he least deserves. That being the case should we consider Starcream or Skwarp ADHS?
Starscream always wanting to overthrow Megs or Skywarp pushing people from behind to fall?

Skywarp can teleport. Thundercracker can make loud noise. The Insecticons can clone themselves. Bombshell can mind control. We lost all that with Cyclonus, Scourge and the Sweeps.

Well, as someone who has seen post-Beast Machine series, I still find Spike, sparkplug, Carly, Chip and Marissa to be top-tier humans.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.
