Crappy week on ebay.
I bought some TFs from a seller- he had good feedback- kept in contact with me- 20 days later nothing- no tfs, no tracking, no response. I filed a claim- irritating- I figured something was up when he was buying everything on ebay he could. I guess thats why I have a Business Paypal account for aholes like that. What kind of ticks me off is that Paypal didnt identify his account as suspicious earlier (when I did), he had a couple auctions hit 2k (not mine- thank goodness), and he was buying 10-15 items on ebay every 2 days.
I bought another rare tf from a powerseller with 99.9% feedback- didnt hear about shipment or anything for 10 days. I email him last night and he says that he had to "find" another one, since the one he had was open. He was the one that put up the auction for a factory sealed TF and didnt have it- its against ebay policy to sell an item you dont have.
Sorry, had to vent. Feel free to use this thread for similar vents.

It should be alright - I have a Paypal account in good standing and alot of ebay feedback. Just more of a hassle at this point. I should have caught it earlier, but there have been so many people selling TFs on ebay- I wont doubt there being restrictions for anyone selling TFs on ebay this holiday. I guess those guys that need to get rid of some rare pieces- they should sell them now, before its a PITA to sell on ebay. Paypal puts up alot of restrictions almost every holiday.

I've had my best Ebay week ever the past week! Snagged TM2 Megatron, VS-S1 Convoy-Bat/Megator CD-ROM 2 pack (extremely rare and pricey), Original Takara Rattrap, Rhinox, Terrorsaur and Hydra. I overpaid on a thing or two but didn't get sniped and my sellers always have great feedback or they don't get bids from me.

Hey...mine had great feedback- so good that his other 5 auctions were in the thousands- I feel bad for those guys. Feedback means nothing these days- it can be bought and skewed by using threats.

Yup yup. Overpaid on the Terrorsaur/Hydra lot a bit, but I've wanted that Rattrap and Terrorsaur specifically forever and I had the money. So I said screw it and put a ridiculous max high bid for each. I was freaked out cuz I had to leave for work about an hour before they ended and was worried I'd lose both for sure. I was shocked to see I won not only one but the other as well.

congrats!!! i had those babies on my watch list like since they were first put up, but since i had a forthcoming shipment of loose TFs with hasbro basic rattrap in it (near mint condish, or so the seller says) i decided against bidding on this set.
besides, i had an ebay binge last month, and i'm still working my silly arse off to pay the remaining balance on the credit card i use for the PayPal.
that was an awesome price you got for the lot dude. i mean, basic rattrap's rare, right? but Takara's version (rattle) is MORE rarer, much more a MISB one. i think you got both for a little under $70, correct? i see MOC rattraps alone going for $80 and up. you're not thinking of opening these babies right?

like i said, that was awesome and it's good no one sniped that auction. maybe they got freaked out by the last bid you entered hahaha!

ya
Ya, I had a good week to I got a Zoids Fuzor cheap since it was posted in a lot by someone who had no clue what it was, also I got a lot of parts I wanted.
It does suck when you get a bad deal, luckily I have not had that many problems, the only time I had a problem is when the USPS decided to be slow.
I also hate the fact that feedback has became so cutthroat, sellers hardly ever leave it when you pay, which is when they are supposed to leave it since as the buyer that is all you are responsible for in the transaction.
I always love the guys that say that is how they "defend" their selves from negative feedback.

Yeah, I got the Rattle/Rhinox lot for $61 and the Terrorsaur/Hydra lot for $76. Not TOO bad. Rattle isn't too rare, he just rarely pops up on ebay outside of the Asian market. As for me opening them? Are you kidding? I open everything! I've waited so long to get these guys too. Especially Rattrap. I'll be selling off the Rhinox and Hydra since I only really care to own the show characters and a few odd other ones from either the comics or the other shows. Too bad some of the others I still want are also pricey. Oh well.

Yeah, I was surprised to have found them too. It's not often to see U.S. auctions for them. So I jumped on them and hoped I'd win. Fortunately, I did.
Oh, and XGamer, get your freaking money back dude! Don't delay if the guy's a ripoff artist.

I should be getting it...PayPal drags their feet- just how it goes. Too bad I cant search and find all his past auctions to alert other ebayers (I can just find recent ones). Sucks for them. Thanks though. I could be an ahole and have amex take the funds from Paypal.
Update: Its official- Im an ahole- called Amex to deal with PayPal...They suspended the money.

no need to call yourself that man, you stuck to your side of the deal and they didn't, end of story. good thing they cancelled the money from PayPal - it already makes enough from all the buyers it takes extra fees from.
good day for me today: my very first BW figures, from a very good seller on eBay (US), came through USPS priority mail today. woo hoo! another positive feedback coming up.
still have a lot of BW figs coming up, all from eBay. hahahaha. now, to get back to work to pay for all those expenses...

It works, though -- there have been at least a couple of sellers that I didn't leave feedback for because it would have been neutral (loose figures in otherwise good condition... except they were sticky ew) and I didn't want them screwing up my rating in turn.

I had a particularly terrible week on eBay, namely because I won a few auctions. I'm not sure that I overpaid for the items, but I certainly overshot my budget. And there's still at least one more figure I want! I'm so broke.

well, you can always try communicating with them about the condition of the figures. also i believe eBay has some sort of dispute console where you can settle any negative feedbacks by agreeing to some sort of retraction on the feedback you gave to each other. i really don't know how this works though as i haven't tried it, and besides, it really would be a hassle.
but this is true, i have at least 6 sellers on my list who haven't left me feedback as of yet even though i have paid for my items, and one of them had the temerity to say to me that they would only leave feedback if i left them one, which I WOULD NOT DO because i haven't received their items yet!

Well, I have only recently started selling things on ebay. Been mostly a buyer until I got smarter.
I don't normally sell Transformers (except for a Titanium GI Joe Megatron that no one bid for.
Anyone want him for kit-bash, or whatever? He's in good shape. Make offer.
), but I do my best to provide the best service I can to my buyers. Usually the stuff I sell are used but in great condition. There are people that get too ahead of themselves, thinking they're going to get rich scalping things, and then they just turn into a giant train wreck. Sorry to hear about you bad experiences. That sux.
