Well... My MP Megs is just now shipping...
But I do own an MP03, and prior to owning him I'd also read about the "flimsy wings" and the brittleness and the fears about how delicate he is...
Huh??
Maybe it's because I'm also a Macross collector that MP-03 was a breath of solid air, so to speak... I mean, he's not flimsy at all when compared to some of the stuff Yamato puts out.

Does MP Megs make you respect your toys less?

Yeahh, MP-03 does feel really quite solid. I handle carefully so I don't mess his details up. I love that no step stuff.

"We, Decepticons, are a swell bunch. And boy do we have fun." - Starscream
"You're one of...those, Never understood why any self respecting Decepticon would choose auto-mobile as his vehicle mode when he could have flight." - Starscream
"For a guy hearing voices of the dead, you've got a pretty insensitive view of Mental Health" - Bumblebee

Well I cant speak for others but I have transformed my Masterpiece Megatron 4 times and so far nothing has broken and no paint chipping on the head. So far all joints have remained tight. But now that I have transformed him I will be leaving him in robot mode for now on as even though I have so been lucky in not breaking anything I still get the impression that if you transform him enough times something will eventually break and no I didn't have to force anything in place to get Megatron to Transform properly and in answer to this threads question no I donot respect my TFs any less due to MP Megatron.

I've had no issues with the Transformation of my Megatron, his stability is fine and nothing has broken or snapped off him.
Ditto.
I think he will be the least transformed peice in my collection, cause he IS rather difficult.
But he is a fantastic representation of G1 Megatron.
He is an excelent feat of engineering (just as starscream was, and Prime... well prime was conciderablly simpler in all fairness).
Only thing that really bugs me about megs is that my hands aint really big enough to actully use his gun mode...
Oversized alt mode + small hands = operational problems.

In answer to the question, he doesn't make me respect my toys any less. I give them all fair consideration.

Why in the world?
MP Megs is one AWESOME toy.
Everybody gets down on these toys because of inconsequential details that could have been done better.
But HAVING an MP megs sure beats the crap out of never HAVING
one at all!
I think Takara did a truly awesome job!

I've got no problems with any of the MPs. I understand that they are display pieces not meant to be played with. Their purpose is to look cool and as show accurate as possible (Screamer paint not included, but I actually like his Energon-esque colors) -- while still being able to transform and look good in both modes. And in this, they succeed. I think with care - and I'm always careful transforming them at first (took me 40 minutes for Megs the first time) - they will last a long time. I've noticed a few stress marks on Screamer and paint chipping on Megatron, but to me, minor things like that are to be expected.

My dear old MP-01 has never given me reason to fret.
He stands tall and strong, and even when I bump into the shelf- which normally knocks some tfs down- he stands there and laughs!
If they could only keep the QC like that throughout the line, they really would have some Masterpieces!
