Movie Accuracy
What figures look like their movie counterparts? Which version of a certain character do you recommend? (for example: voyager or leader Prime)

Leader Megatron would be accurate but the paint scheme Hasbro gave him doesn't even come close. Course I wouldn't recommend the Movie toys because most have problems like Brawl's arms won't stay in his sockets.

Leader Prime, Voyager Ironhide & Ratchet and deluxe Jazz and Bumblebee are the best autobot match up from what is available(according to movie size).
For the cons, it is a bit more difficult. Leader Megatron and Voyager Starscream work out. Deluxe Barricade fits in too. Bonecrusher and Brawl need to be in a Voyager size, but they were released as Deluxes. As is, they are way too small. Blackout is a cool figure but was made too small as a Voyager. He would be better suited under the leader class I guess, as long as he was still smaller than Megatron. It is too bad Hasbro does not do Ultra size anymore, because that would be the ideal category for Blackout. Scorponok should be legends size in order to be in the best scale from what Hasbro has to offer. As a deluxe, it is too big but is actually a very cool toy. I like it more than I thought I would, just pretend the bot mode doesn't exist!

Could you explain what is "ultra" and "legends" size? I've heard these terms quite a bit. Would I be right to infer then that "voyager" and "leader" actually refer to size class, and not a branding for features or complexity?

Yeah he's really one of those toys that grows on you. One thing I love him for is, he just seems to be sturdily constructed enough to do what toys are meant for: be played with. There's truly more to him than meets the eye in terms of new things to do with him, parts you can move, etc

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Legends class are really small figs, not much bigger than a happy meal toy.
From smallest to largest, it would be:
Legends, basic, deluxe, voyager, ultra (if it still existed), leader, supreme (think giant Cyb Starscream or Armada Unicron). These are all different price points of $3.99, $6.99, $9.99, $19.99, $29.99 (if it still existed), $39.99, and $49.99.

As far as movie toys go, I think the new 09 Bumblebee would be the most accurate...followed closely behind by Bonecrusher and Jazz... The most inaccurate would be leader Megs--I haven't seen enough of voyager Megs to see which figure is more accurate or "better", but upon initial viewings I don't like the ice crap that voyager Megs has. He IS cheaper though, and I would probably purchase him b/f the leader fig. I still have plenty more movie figs to purchase, however, so my opinion could change....

I've got to agree. What the devil were they thinking when they made him? The least they could do was make the 'ice 'removeable! Just doesn't look right. For the money it costs I expect more. My stanard for comparison is always Voyager class Ironhide. The very first toy I bought from the movie, and still my favourite.
