So I want to expand my classics collection and went looking after a rodmus and cyclonus 2-pack on ebay. Found one for 49 bucks plus shipping (Brazil)
However I'm trying to stay up to date on new releases, mainly Beast Wars, and the 3-pack on BBTS of Rattrap, Tankor and Crosscut is looking very good...
So, is the Roodimus mold good on that 2-pack, because I know the cyclonus mold is incredible, however I don't know if that mold alone is worth the price for the pack...

Cyclonus is the better release of the two, both in mold and in colors. Rodimus is a decent to good mold, but the colors on that particular release leave something to be desired. He's only good as a placeholder until you can get either the Classics or Henkei release which are superior (but also cost a lot more).

rodimus has gotten mixed reviews. personally i love it because im a fan of the character, but others dont share my enthusiasm. as far as variants of the mold the best of the rodimi would probably be the united or henkei, and the henkei is still quite affordable due to a reissue a while back.
and i would say that cyclonus is one of the best figures to come out of the classics line to date. for me, him and springer are the shining stars. classics cyclonus is very G1 toy accurate, RTS cyclonus is very cartoon/anime accurate, and henkei cyclonus is very christmas tree topper accurate.
there is one other thing ill add though... there a three pack called "challenge at cybertron" which has the same cyclonus and roddy only with an added galvatron. only difference in roddy in cyc, is instead of them having rub signs they have painted on faction emblems. which for me, i preffer. its especially noticeable on roddy having a big black spot on his chest where we all know there should be a big red autobot symbol. but on cyclonus, its much less noticeable. and regardless, roddy can be fixed with a simple sticker anyways.
with the price of the RTS set, you cant go wrong. its worth it for cyclonus alone. but no one can really speculate on figures that arent released yet...

My advice is to pick up the older figures first. You can save up enough to buy the Rattrap/Crosscut/Tankor wave before it comes out, trust me.
Cyclonus is pretty much perfection in the Challenge at Cybertron (or Battle in Space) package. The mold is great and the colors are spot on. At the very least, buy him alone if you get the opportunity.
Rodimus looks good with his cartoon accurate colors, but the one thing that bugs me is the opaque blue windows for his alt mode, instead of clear plastic. It hides a lot of detail for the interior of the car, like the dashboard and steering wheel. You might want to consider holding out to buy United Rodimus Prime instead, which looks fantastic, IMO. His clear blue windows are back, and the paint detailing gives him that more mature "Prime" look if you prefer your Rodimus to look like a true Autobot leader on your shelf.
Galvatron looks nice with white swapping out his medium grey plastic as compared to his earlier releases, but your mileage may vary with that mold.
I got the Universe (Asian market exclusive) three-pack because I prefer not to have rub-signs on my characters if possible. Plus, I like the bright white Galvatron, though he is soon to be replaced by the vastly superior Decepticon Specialists version. I had bought the RtS set a few years ago at retail, by the way. If you don't mind the rub signs, I might be willing to work a deal. PM me if so.

I hate the blue windows on RTS Rodimus.

I got the Challenge At Cybertron pack. Since replaced that Hot Rod with the Classics version (wasn't digging the mismatched colours in my Protector armour) but the Cyclonus is definitely great. The Galvatron's a pretty poor toy, but that's a decent version of it, colour-wise.
I've no love for that new Tankor and Crosscut looks fine, but I still have to get Skids, so Rattrap is really the only one that interests me from that set, so I'd pick the RTS guys if I had none of them. Dunno how easy the 3pack is to pick up these days, or if the rub signs on the RTS versions or lack/addition of Galvatron will bother you.

assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
